I spoke to Leon after the Sheff Utd game, at the old Q8 garage nr Waterhall. I said "Well played tonight Leon, and bad luck". He barely acknowledged me. Fair enough he had just lost, but.....

Butters goes ape on her after they lose, sometimes players just dont want to talk about it

OK for the Knight haters..

Who exactly, of the current staff is going to score the goals to keep us up, if the 'waste of space' that is Leon Knight is sacked?

Gary Hart - RB most of the season, occasional RW and non scoring forward.
God loves a trier...

Chris McPhee - Not gonna make it at the Albion, sorry. Destined for a free at the end of the season...

Jake Robinson - Potential, but not shown much else so far. He may save us in a couple of seasons but not this one...

Trolley - Brave effort Friday, but please...

CKR - Got some real potential, but a lot to ask of him to come up with another 10 or so till the end of the season, a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer?

El Turi - Not played, not looked like playing, still even less popular than Knight so maybe the 'judges' at the Withdean will be happy with our hopes resting on his shoulders?

Whether you like him or hate him, he is currently our best hope. A decent CF is a neccessity, but when has Knight had the chance to play with a CF of any quality and a midfield that can pass the ball? We have spent most of the last couple of seasons thumping long balls up to a 5ft 4ins bloke then slagging him off for not winning the headers.

Yes he is a moody little ####, but short blokes often are...

:lolol:

I am by no means a Knight hater. I wish they would keep us informed as to what is going on. Except last time, McGhee got slated for making it public!!

For whatever reason, he is being left out now and then, and this is when we need everyone to pull together.

I certainly don't hate him. I want him to grow up and play for the team. (and I am not going to get involved in an interminable round and round argument about Knight v McGhee)

I wish he was on board with the players but his attitude is a real problem and I cannot see MM giving an inch again.

Therefore does he swallow his pride (again) or walk - can't see the first option happening....

exactly - that is why the rumours of him being released do not look so foolish

You seriously reckon Dick Knight would fancy paying up the rest of his contract, not to mention losing his top scorer?

After giving Mcghee 150k to sign a top draw striker?

I would be interested to know, how many times you have mentioned that!

Do we know if someone lke Tank rates him? I thought El Turi had quite a good shot on him, when I saw him play earlier in the season.

True, he might be sufficiently encouraged by that astute aquisition ...

And also the fee if he leaves at the end of his contract and goes to another club.

but hey ho, nsc knows best release him

if it is in the teams best interest he may well have done it, however unlikely it does seem

It doesnt matter where he goes, Brighton would be owed a fee, have Brighton suddenly become rich?

Only a moran would release him, even more so if he is on the 8k someone claimed he was on. :jester:

only a moran would sign an argentinia he had never seen play in a competitive match for £150k :jester:

with mcghee in charge, nothing would suprise me
