According to Andrew Samson, BBC Test Match Special statistician

In the history of Test cricket there have only been two teams who have batted out the final day to earn a draw having been four down overnight. One was England in South Africa in 1995 when Michael Atherton finished unbeaten on 185. The other was South Africa against Australia in Adelaide last year.
We've got a longish tail and the new ball is coming up fairly soon.....its a test of concentration more than anything today.

Could end up an interesting days (nights) cricket.

the BBC are taking a bit of a one eyed view of the last day, their " live reporting " page on the Beeb website is giving text commentary with the addition in brackets of ( 75 overs to go ), "push to mid on, no run " ( 74 overs to go ) etc etc....

I fear our only hope left now is for Uncle Spielberg to come on and predict a New Zealand win. It's that desperate.

Doomed!

I'd have taken losing 1 wicket in the session......if that all it ends up being (which it probably won't....etc)

Bairstow out. Never looked comfortable. We can't afford any more wickets to fall in this session.
