And so it should be the norm, there shouldn't be shortages of PPE so when there are it is newsworthy. Strange thing news, it's not newsworthy when it's not out of the ordinary...!
Leave em at home with a packet of crisps and a can of Red Bull - sorted!
Sorry, crap joke I know but as much sense and help as the Government has offered you.
At the end of that my wife turned to me and said “so is the country still in lockdown.”, I shrugged my shoulders, as quite frankly I couldn’t give her an easy answer as I am as confused as ****!
You're sort of missing the point, the police wouldn't have to enforce anything if people did as they were told/asked to do.
This is what you clearly feel the British public can't be trusted to do! So police them lightly as the little darlings might not like being told off..
No argument from me, just found it strange that you didn’t think we were capable, as a nation of a hard lockdown, and as a consequence of this people would die unnecessarily. Not sure what that says about us then, really.
As you say, it’s about opinions...
The part that you don’t believe as a nation we are capable of a hard lockdown, which you then appeared to defend.
Shame, as it’s costing innocent people’s lives...
With regards the "science" bit I was answering Mouldy Boots, who said - as has Boris and his team - that we were directed by the Science. Science, as has been demonstrated, can be interpreted differently, by different scientists around the world, and often to fit their paymasters agenda!
I agree we came very late to the party and when we did no one had told us it wasn't fancy dress...
However, lockdown was nearly 7 weeks ago now, if social distancing was being practised as well as it should be, or for that matter was as effective as we are told, then being late with the advice...
Don't really want to get involved in your beef with someone else, but just a couple of points.
Exercise Cygnus carried out in 2016 identified a basic lack of PPE in the event of a Pandemic.
The decisions are not made by "the science" but by scientists. Scientists can make calls depending on...
So why, exactly, have we got such a high death rate, those people have to have been catching it from somewhere/someone... Clearly social distancing hasn't worked for them.
And once again they mention the idea of the public wearing face masks, yet no indication as to where they will come from or who will pay for them.
Have a look on Amazon or eBay to see, a) the delivery times, b) the cost, c) how many are actually any good for stopping viral transmission and not...
I know Specsavers have been closed for a while, so maybe my prescription had changed, but I could have sworn he said "why can't these people isolate", as he wants to get back to work and normality. Clearly we are an inconvenience to him. His tone was neither understanding or placating. - so I...
I understand people have to go back to work at some point, probably quite soon, but it was the insensitive tone of your OP that I objected to. You might have well said ‘why don’t the vulnerable just **** off and die so I can get back to work”...
Hilarious...
If the idiots on here, and yes that includes you and me, could see errors were being made then I ****ing hope COBR could too.
To be honest the best people to have run a situation like this would probably have been the army, although they may have seen the vulnerable as collateral...
