No matter what deals and baqck-handers are agreed with his agent they are all entirely irrelevant unless Brighton agree a deal with Chelsea. We don't have to do any such thing if we don't want to.
Just a complete guess, but naybe Liverpool had to go to £111M to beat Chelsea's £110M. Worry is, where do things go from there if Liverpool are offering personal terms of £150K a week and Chelsea have promised his agent to pay the lad £250K a week (with, probably Chelsea style, a few £million...
Fingers crossed, no. We have had, it's been reported, a satisfactory bid from Liverpool - we don't have to sell to Chelsea if we don't want to. If Caicedo's agents don't want him to sign for Liverpool, he's got a pretty decent contract at Brighton to fall back on (a lottery winning level...
....and not according to Jason Steele! With all this stuff, there's no right thing to believe because we know nothing unless we're there. Did Caicedo refuse to train or not? Tw*tter says he did, team mate says he didn't.
Did Sanchez refuse to play or ask to be left out if he was a...
I know, yeh, yeh, yeh and all that.....but. It's like VAR - I'll be waiting for the official announcement and a grinning Moises holding up his Liverpool shirt before I jump up and go YESSSSSS!
Why Winstanley and not the other guy (Stewart?) - Winstanley knows Bloom and Brighton, and may well have been advising them not to dick about. Perhaps, like their Tw*tter fans, they didn't want to listen?
The Shed End (when I had a look two or three hours ago) was pretty sensible and grown up - mostly annoyed at their club f***ing it up by dicking about when they could have completed the deal weeks ago if they hadn't been trying to save £10M or so.
Tw*tter, on the other hand,,,,,,! :lolol:
Like I said, I hope not - but if Chelsea are offering personal terms £10-20-30-50K a week more than Liverpool, Caicedo's agent will be fighting it tooth and nail (including persuading young naive Moises he needs to sulk and down tools if necessary!)
Tempting fate to say the saga is over. The deal's not nearly as close to being a done deal on Talksport or the BBC as it is on here and Tw*tter. I hope the move to Liverpool goes through and it looks the more likely - but it's a chicken I'm not counting......yet.
