I'm going for this Foos BANGER today, in honour of all our Leeds friends.
False Hope and Blind Faith being all they seem to have left in Marcelo's Congregation at the moment.......... :p

"Open your eyes, step into the light!"
You probably know, but the song is actually about one of Joe's best mates Danny, who is an immigrant. Plus the whole point about love, unity and what a lack of that creates.....
But also, his mum, who he was primary carer for from really young died not so long ago and then he lost a daughter to...
Always gets the hairs on the back of neck going when they do this live. Also contains one of the best bits of crowd surfing, plus raw emotion from Joe at the end. Marvellous......

Well, all that and basically becoming God as well, just to tick all the bases..... What was the BBC’s problem FFS? [emoji23]
The absolute GENIUS and no f###s given of "former teen pop heartthrob" Scott Walker.
I must admit I've never heard the original so will have a look.
I know they have never been MASSIVE but 9 studio albums and 8 compilation / live albums (plus still going) is probably in the category of "making it".
Great band btw.
There were (mostly the same as now) dickheads complaining about the licence fee back in the 80s, and yet you got stuff like this on at 7pm on a weekday.
Saw Faithless at Creamfields in 2002.
About 20,000 in front of the main stage at a guess. We were near the front and had just been watching Underworld (also brilliant) but it filled up massively for Faithless.
Turned round and just saw a sea of off their face ravers with huge grins.
It went...
Some great stuff.
But please remember the point of the thread.
"The best song you've heard today....". You only get one shot per day, which is what makes it difficult and interesting.
