[Politics] Musk (real life Bond villain planning world domination) needs a thread.

Call me old fashioned but his attire seems to be a tad disrespectful for a White House appearance

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Much of the stuff that comes out of the Kremlin lacks credibility - deliberately. It makes them unpredictable and that’s what they like.

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

Not sure how effective the Golden Dome would be without Canada protecting the USA’s northern border. Would have thought Trump should pay Canada to join it

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

I read on various sources today that Greenland has signed a minerals deal with a Danish - French consortium. Donald won’t be pleased.

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

Apologies if it’s already been reported on here, but I read that Ramaposa apologised to Trump for not giving him an aircraft. If true, what a wonderful put down - if untrue, still made me laugh!

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Absolutely agree with that (except the ‘go nuclear’ bit 😁) The west’s / NATO’s dominance of the Baltic surely provides an ideal opportunity to blockade it - even if it goes against international law yes he must have been on a Kremlin hit list for some time now - he was instrumental in getting...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2024/25 Edition

I think the standard of facilities also determines the division clubs play in - Ringmer meet Div 1 standards because they have floodlights and some seating - a lot of Div 2 clubs don’t meet the stadium requirements to enable promotion to Division 1

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Meantime, Zelensky continues to play a great innings and lets the negative spotlight remain on Putin and Trump

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

I agree. I’m sure the west (ex Trump) recognises that Russia plays the long game. It waited 8 years after taking Crimea before invading Ukraine again in 2022. It will do the same in Moldova, Georgia et al given the chance. It will do the same with Ukraine whether it takes 10, 20 years or more -...

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Putin won’t agree to long term peace until he’s taken the whole of Ukraine. The sooner Trump and his entourage of idiots realise that, the sooner the west can put a more robust plan in place to defend Ukraine

    [Travel] The Amalfi Coast

A couple of years ago we stayed just south of Sorrento and found it be a great location to get to Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Capri and up the western coast (via train - cheap and reliable) to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum.

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

You may be right but it will be interesting to see Trump’s response. Putin’s deliberate choice of a low level delegation is flipping the middle finger at the west, including Trump.

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

It seems that Zelensky’s on his way to Istanbul, but Russia is sending a low level delegation. If true it’s yet more evidence that Putin has no interest in peace. Time for Trump to choose sides

[Albion] York City 1996: What was your experience?

Took my daughter to her first match that day. She was very excited when we went on the pitch and asked me if it happens at each match. ……which wasn’t such a daft question because pitch invasions weren’t unusual at that point in our history

    [Politics] Russia invades Ukraine (24/02/2022)

Reinforces what we’ve been saying on here for a while - some of Ukraine's military successes must be from within Russia

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

This post probably belongs in the Sunday Sport, but Donald Trump has f*cked up our youth football club’s order for goalkeeper shirts. Our kit supplier gets them from Pakistan but the manufacturer has dumped us in favour of Walmart - who switched to them (away from their Chinese shirt...
