I think the standard of facilities also determines the division clubs play in - Ringmer meet Div 1 standards because they have floodlights and some seating - a lot of Div 2 clubs don’t meet the stadium requirements to enable promotion to Division 1

I agree. I’m sure the west (ex Trump) recognises that Russia plays the long game. It waited 8 years after taking Crimea before invading Ukraine again in 2022. It will do the same in Moldova, Georgia et al given the chance. It will do the same with Ukraine whether it takes 10, 20 years or more -...

Putin won’t agree to long term peace until he’s taken the whole of Ukraine. The sooner Trump and his entourage of idiots realise that, the sooner the west can put a more robust plan in place to defend Ukraine

A couple of years ago we stayed just south of Sorrento and found it be a great location to get to Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Capri and up the western coast (via train - cheap and reliable) to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum.

You may be right but it will be interesting to see Trump’s response. Putin’s deliberate choice of a low level delegation is flipping the middle finger at the west, including Trump.

It seems that Zelensky’s on his way to Istanbul, but Russia is sending a low level delegation. If true it’s yet more evidence that Putin has no interest in peace. Time for Trump to choose sides
