Phone your optician (assuming you can read what the number is) and then ask them to knock up replacements. Should only cost around £200.
An afterthought - if you can type your post and read the responses, why do you need specs?
I feel the same. A feeling of betrayal. Trump has p1ssed off all US allies to appease a murderous dictator. Whilst he doesn’t have to worry too much because he’ll be gone in less than 4 years ( thank god - I’m already counting down the days) we’ll be living with the aftermath of his hubris and...
The latest Private Eye has just landed on my door mat. Their usual black humour front page has a photo of Trump and Zelensky under the banner headline “Ukraine Peace Plan latest” and speech bubbles:
Trump: Guess what the deal is?
Zelensky: I give in.
Trump: Correct.
It’s rare that I don’t...
I’m pleased to find someone who shares the same pain and I’m sure we’re not the only ones. Apart from the Full Time issues you mention, I’m fed up of doing their online training courses that bomb when you’re an hour into them and you have to start from scratch. The much vaunted Match Day app...
And now he’s saying that Putin holds all the cards in the negotiations….really?! Only if Trump lets him, surely. Putin’s cards presumably include the much rumoured Trump video
I share your concerns but think (hope) that it’s too early to call. Trump and his administration may be totally incompetent and being played by Russia. Or Trump could be playing Putin in a cleverly choreographed strategy - after all, he loves stirring the pot and there’s the old saying about...
I think Private Eye was first to reveal that that the key prosecution witness (Evans?) had since changed his mind on the cause of death. If it’s a miscarriage of justice how on earth would she resume a normal life?
Yes, selling the need for higher taxes isn’t easy. I’d prefer to see changes to government spending priorities. But either way I’d like defence spending to increase.

Personally I’d be happy to pay more tax for better defence. Or better still, keep tax levels unchanged and reappraise how it’s spent. I get fed up at seeing central and local government wasting millions - I won’t give examples as I don’t want to turn this into a political thread as there are...
That would be a great solution provided we recognise that Russia will break any promise not to invade again, which means preparing for that day by bolstering defence spending across Europe.
