Underated
Hammond - Currently the only first team player that would be capable of getting into the top teams in our division. He has a lot to learn still, such as shooting on site of goal. Everything that is wrong with him can be coached in, but what you cannot teach a player are those things...
Ok so they have some bloke that used to be connected to a south london thingy that I don't wish to mention, they still stole it from us when we were doing very nicely thankyou
I spotted that one as well. They have also won twice as many away games as we have won home and away (plus they have won 17 times at home!) but then they did nick our manager and two of our best players - even though they were only on loan to us.
Should know more about this as I use his name on here. I believed that Eddie Spearritt was a scouser but, in fact, he was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Seem to remember he was signed from Ipswich and he made his debut in the 1968/69 season.
He was my first Albion hero in the days of Kit Napier...
As we don't have an Academy how can the F.A. approve it?
Just Chelsea having a little dig!
However, our Centre of Excellence will almost certainly be F.A. approved and is probably one of the best in the country which is why clubs like Everton and Villa are always snooping around for our young...
Confusing isn't it? People from Northern Ireland are British - try telling my old man that he isn't! They hold British passports by right. 'Great Britain' is the big Island that incorporates England, Scotland and Wales plus all the smaller islands surrounding it. The full name of the United...
Just got back online and was reading this interesting thread. I know this point was made a lot earlier but just wanted to respond.
Happy, it seems such a long time ago now but me and my mates were convinced that, for the last 3 or 4 years at the Goldstone, the gates were being fiddled - we...
Sorry, my eyesight is going. that does say 'walkers' doesn't it? For a moment there I thought she was being foul mouthed!!
What about taking a poll of the football players and Frisbee throwers. I am sure they would be saying that the walkers are a damned nuisance and keep invading the pitch (I...
The music was written by Sir Hubert Parry (1848-1918) whilst living in Knightscroft House, Sea Lane, Rustington. Perhaps he too was an BHA fan.
Also, the best rendition (imho) was by 70's legends Emerson Lake and Palmer. (Keith Emerson was from Worthing and attended West Tarring Secondary...
It might not be exploitation of the Indian workforce but it is of ours. Beware if you are young as there may not be any decent jobs in 10 years time.
Large companies are forcing their employees to train Indians (especially in the States and the UK) and then transferring the work to Mumbai and...
Oops, I stand corrected!!
Fuzzy memory from all that ale! I knew there was some kind of link though.
I was in there one Saturday lunchtime 19 years ago. Had just got back from St Richards Hospital where my wife was expecting our second daughter. Just about to eat a sandwich before setting...
The Arundel Brewery used to be part of The Swan pub but moved to an industrial estate a few years back. According to the brewery's web site they still supply beer to The Swan which is found by turning left at the mini roundabout just after the bridge in the town centre.
There are some grounds where standing in the seated areas is clearly unsafe. Don't get me wrong, I hate sitting as much as anyone, but I have almost come a cropper at one or two grounds because of the height of the steps.
One game at QPR I saw several people almost go over the top of the seat...
Not saying that didn't happen but the album 'Supertramp' released in 1970 (according to the cover) has the band members listed as Richard Davis, Roger Hodgson, Richard Palmer and Robert Millar (percussion harmonica). The second album (Indelibly Stamped - Yep the one with the naked tatooed lady...
Original band had just four brits and no yanks but only Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson survived to record Crime of the Century and all the classics.
Saw them at Royal Albert Hall in 1997. Sadly no Roger Hodgson or Dougie Thomson but still superb. All the classics plus most of the 'Some Things...
As you have a broadband modem and router, why bother with a wireless router? You can plug your existing router into a WAP (Wireless Access Point). These can be £20-25 cheaper than Wireles Routers and would give you the same results.
I got a WAP for around £50 in December. Got it from Amazon...
Don't panic yet!
I got my application in in Weds 8th and, having been posted to me with a 1st class stamp on the 17th, they only arrived this afternoon.
The snails trail is still on my drive!!
