If the players are aware of all the speculation flying around on messageboards it would be a bit remiss of them not to have a joke at our expense and sit back and watch the fireworks. Lets be honest, if the Argus even had a sniff of our best player going to our hated local rivals it would be...
This cannot be allowed to happen. There should be no way anyone from Palarse can directly contact the Albion and vice versa, so arranging a player transfer should be impossible. Even trying to make contact via pigeon should see the wretched bird shot down and tortured.
If Hammond goes to Colchester how can he possibly say that he's going to a club with ambition? They will be League 1 with us next year (unless we put together a miracle promotion push) and what will he have actually achieved other than boosting his bank balance. Ah....
Could be true were it not for the fact we're actively trying to sell all of our strikers. More likely is the new 1-8-1 formation Wilkins has devised:
1 - goalie
1 - bloke at the back to hoof the ball
1 - striker who valiantly fails to get near any of the hoofed balls (presumably Murray with...
All the best Alex, shame to see you go as I felt you were in a decent vein of form over the last few weeks. Even more annoyed to see you go to a promotion rival.
Lose 1-0 to a mediocre Northampton side, Revell off, no sign of Hammond staying, bid turned down for Hammond-esque replacement, Lucy Pinder & Keeley Hazell yet to sign up for half-time entertainment spectacular on Saturday...
Don't think we should let him go. We need proper competition for places up front and having Forster, Murray, Revell and Elder gives us this. Relying on just Murray and Forster as a 1st choice pairing with no proper back-up would give us a serious problem if either was injured.
Think Elder deserves his chance having netted a couple of goals recently. Yes, we've spent a lot on Murray but he needs to win his place in the side from the bench at first, I think. He's been plying his trade in League 2 and this is a step up for him but one the club obviously think he's...
I think that he might just flourish alongside Thomson who would potentially take that sitting role away from him. If he was allowed to get forward more, he may become more creative and even increase the decent return of goals he already gets.
Dean, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to stay and help the Albion to the promised land of the Championship. This message will probably not self destruct in 5 seconds.
Should you not choose to accept this mission, you will have disappointed these fine fans and for that you...
