Could be true were it not for the fact we're actively trying to sell all of our strikers. More likely is the new 1-8-1 formation Wilkins has devised:

1 - goalie
1 - bloke at the back to hoof the ball
1 - striker who valiantly fails to get near any of the hoofed balls (presumably Murray with Dixon in reserve)
8 - wandering around in central midfield aimlessly under the pretence of looking to create something - would explain the current plethora of central midfielders and no new wingers.

Success is just a short hoof away...

I think we some how switched white boards with the England rugby team, as all we keep doing is kick high or into touch as far up as possible, and then when we get within 20 yards of the white sticks, we clear the bar
