I’d love to see footballers properly punished for once. Time and time again they do stupid things and it’s just tut tut forgive and move on because of their wealth and power. Southgate and FA should throw the book at them and leave them out for 2-3 years. They’re national disgraces, being thick is no excuse during this pandemic. An excellent point. They’re very young. And have proven they’re too immature to be selected as members of the senior England team. Ask them back in 2-3 years time therefore, hopefully will have matured enough to know what a pandemic is and how putting people’s lives at risk is not on.

It’s that attitude that is probably a big part of the reason for the massive Covid spike around Europe. Being young does not make it OK to be selfish and irresponsible. Even more unforgivable for these two highly paid very young lads, given the circumstances, imo.
