I worry that Stephens has been tapped up by someone else, as he has been off the pace for a lot of his recent matches.

Something is wrong with him as he has always been committed, until recent.

I think Bong, Schelotto and Balogun are out of contract at the end of the season. I'd be shocked if they are renewed.

Stephens, poor game, again. Doesn't have the speed of mind to play in his position, especially in the premier league. Bissouma, I think he was drunk.

Apart from that, great game!

Hopefully MrPotter has learnt a lot from this.
Schelloto - Not good enough.
Bong - Not good enough.
Balogun - Not good enough.
Webster - Getting there but needs to practice passing.
Stephens - Needs to speed up.
Gross - Needs to speed up.
Potter - Why do I keep starting with one striker and bring a 2nd on at ½ time?
Badly missed Dunk, Burn, Mooy & Propper.
Apart from that I thought we were ok.[emoji849][emoji849]

well that was woeful. Ranks up there with some of the dross seen in the early days at Withdean or the Pissfield. Very worrying that both our number one strikers couldn't even score against second string championship defenders! Potter needs to take responsiblity and say we were shit

I'm going against the grain a bit. I thought there were some reasonable individual performances, including Stephens, Balogun, Bong and others. But absolutely no cohesion in the teamwork. Ali J tried hard and looked a class above the rest. Even tried his overhead kick again. But frankly I don't want a Cup run distraction. It could actually take 40 points to stay up this season.

If the club are not concerned about the FA Cup then this isn't a big issue.

Probably looking just to avoid injuries but personally I like to see teams make an effort in the Cup because it takes just half a dozen performances to win it and fans spending money deserve to get at least 100% effort from the players for their hard earned money.

Interesting in my office this coming Thursday when I go in though as Adam Reach's sister works in my office

No cup game, no distractions just league football now to focus on. I'm over the defeat already. Not happy with the attitude of some of the players through.

Err what poor sap of a club is tapping up Dale? It’s not like he’s been tearing up the PL.

I think fatigue is setting in badly. Six fixtures in the past 20 days, our guys have just been run ragged.

Sheff Wed played 6 games in 22 days - and played 5 games in the last 14 days just like Brighton - and Brighton made more changes.

If it is a fatigue thing then is should apply to both teams.

There are no excuses for that performance, we weren’t up for it.

Shit result but at least its all about the league now. We suffered last season exactly because of the FA cup.

I just don’t see this argument. Why professional footballers that do nothing but train all week can’t play a maximum of 6 extra games is beyond me! And even that’s only if they get all the way to the final. Today was a complete waste of time as neither team seemed to care if they won or not. I can sort of understand managers/club owners not wanting to progress in cups in certain seasons, but I do think it’s sad how that attitude has filtered down to fans.
