I am past caring about the Nigels, their decent team and their absolute turd of a ground.

Que sera sera, it could be exactly what they need, but it might be a disaster. Meh.

But you post on every Palace thread...
Admit it, you care a lot :)

my understanding is the 2 yanks will have a 18% stake each with parish, while the other 3 owners of cpfc2010 will dilute their stake from 25% to 15.33%.
That makes the present owners holding a controlling stake of 64 %.
If it goes through, all 6 have pledged to fund the re build equally.
Hope this helps.
i'll sleep easy tonight thanks
regards

It will happen mores the pity.
We need massive investment like that too if we are to ever compete with the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd and other teams of that ilk !
If we make the promised land of the Premier League which one day soon we will,
would you all, always be happy with Albion being a bottom 6 team every season, or and relegated 3/4 times along the line and back up and down up and down for years
and never accomplishing anything but a bottom 6 finish ?
I for one wouldnt be very happy at all.
To beat the best you have to invest !!
thats the motto every Premier League club should live by nowadays.
I don't want Brighton there just to make up the numbers like West Brom, Stoke, Sunderland ,West Ham etc etc
But with the amount of money now available the Premier League is getting smaller.

The question is how much of Tony's 'investment' does he want returned, and when.

Unlike just about every other new arrival into the Premier League it's conceivable that Brighton would be about to spend most of the income on players.

In all seriousness palace need to running away from this deal.
Perhaps they are using it as an advertisement to attract other money men.
But no club, not even them up there, should be giving these 2 clowns the keys to the front door.

I don't care .

Let's hope the asset strippers leave enough in the pot to pay St John's Ambulance and small local businesses. Palace has screwed them over enough already.

Let's give Palace the one bit of fairness that they have earned, as the fans themselves paid back St Johns.

However, beyond that with regards to this investment from America, who knows whether it is good or bad news for them.

I wouldn't believe all the optimistic spin put on it though, and unless they seriously invest in the ground, the house of cards will crash down sooner rather than later.

I had hoped that I had made it clear. But obviously not.! When I said "Palace" I meant the organisation, the football club, the corporate entity, Crystal Palace FC screwed St John's. Not the fans.

Two reckless individuals, not the staff, not the players, not the supporters, not the club.
Do Brighton fans blame the club when Archer did a cut price deal with local businesses ? Of course not.
For the record , I put money into my club when it was on its knees, and chipped in for St Johns.

Yes I would be much happier to yoyo than to be owned by some asset stripper. All hail Tony Bloom.

Let's get real here. We aren't going to compete with Man. City, ManU and Arsenal and the like. We might occasionally have the joy of beating one of them.
"Making up the numbers like West Brom, Stoke, Sunderland ,West Ham" would be brilliant for us - think of where we have come from. And remember that the Big Boys, whatever we do, will always go on getting bigger. They have grounds with near enough twice the capacity of our's too.
Nothing wrong with being a yoyo club - plenty of excitement, and if handled properly, coming back stronger (and richer!) each time. And maybe, for the icing on the cake, a really good season occasionally - like Southampton, Swans and Stole have had - which sees them up in the heady heights of mixing it with the Big Boys once in a while, and getting a season in Europe. We're never going to be ManU or arsenal - and I for one am quite happy with that.

You have conveniently ignored the fact that the four current owners did not put their money in until the debt had been cleared. They could have invested in the club and helped pay its debts. They did not. They allowed the business to jettison the debt and then bought in.

and are now clearly prepared to do a deal with the devil instead of increasing their own investment.
