Bridge was on the down but was insanely good and still Prem class.

I thought he was surplus to requirements at Arsenal at the time and they ended up selling him to Villa after we refused to pay the 100 k or whatever? They eventually saw the error of their ways and resigned him from Everton??

He fell out over a pay rise. Ended up costing Arsenal much more than his wage demand when they re-signed him.

He wasn't a loanee - he was a free agent when he played for us

Have to agree with Keown although Brian Dear had a pretty awesome period with us; scored goals for fun. Steve Cotterill and Paul Moulden didn't do too badly either
