Brighton bias aside...Zaha is NOWHERE NEAR good enough for England.

His club manager sees more of him than anyone, and on that basis, Zaha is behind Young in the pecking order. And I don't see Young making the squad, so Zaha isn't close.

Milner should go. He's our new Heskey. People who don't understand football (yeah I said it, I don't give a s***) need someone to hate because they don't understand the role this player plays, for the Albion last season it was Barnes, for England it's Milner.

Very much this. I'd have Milner over Sturridge any day. Sturridge never passes! It all looks good when he's scoring, but when he's not, he contributes nothing.

This. If we are going to take a youngster ,who's game is all about skill ,at this moment in time Ravel Morrison is the choice as he's starting in the PL and he's scoring in the PL.

Wouldn't it be Townsend?
Or Redmond?

Morrison has played 7 games for West Ham and two for U-21s(and in last night's one he had a row with a team-mate)

Here's what won't happen, but would if I were given sole charge of Team England:

Hart, Ruddy,
Jags, Cahill, Smalling, Baines, Cole, Jenkinson
Gerrard, Milner, Barkley, Wilshere, Carrick, Walcott, Townsend, Oxlade, Redmond, Zaha, Ince, Morrison
Rooney, Sturridge, Berahino

We would EASILY win the World Cup with that squad.

Can we take Milner out and put in Joe Cole please? But only if he promises to bring the stepovers and look-away passes with him.

Picture the scene:

We are 1-1 against Portugal in the quarter final. Bereft of ideas, we are ceding posession easily and CR7 is threatening in his hugely ominous manner.

FAR better Ince, Zaha and Redmond as a triple sub option than the tired old, tried-and-tested, more-of-the-same Milner, Lampard and Cleverley.

I think Townsend will be an automatic choice by then, especially if he keeps playing at the standard he is now.
Compare him to Zaha, how many starts and goals has he had this season? Oh, and he had a row with another play (not that it's relevant in any way)

We'd certainly have plenty of width across the middle. What formation would we play?
