Jimmy Milner? We do have a shortage of PROPER dms though don't we? How I long for Owen Hargreaves.
I an all honesty I think my HEART has ruled by head there when I omitted Milner.

Roy will take him. I was being selfish. However I've declared my team and it would be wrong to change it now.

Milner should go. He's our new Heskey. People who don't understand football (yeah I said it, I don't give a s***) need someone to hate because they don't understand the role this player plays, for the Albion last season it was Barnes, for England it's Milner.

What role does he play?

I have a feeling Lampard won't go. Can't really play this game as I don't watch enough Premier League football to know what I'm on about.

Could be a very interesting world cup for us. The pressure will be lower than normal as nobody expects us to get very far, but judging from the last two performances we do have players who can hurt the opposition and we are, suddenly, capable of retaining possession. No way we'll win the thing but we might conceivably go beyond the usual ham-fisted stumbling into the quarters.

Not the most sensible thing to say when you're trying to get a point across.

A bit ****ing arrogant... what role does he play then?

I don't hate him but I think he offers something, but no more than cover.

what does he do better than anyone else?

Was arrogant but I can't be arsed with these arguments over and over and over again with people who take no interest in football all season long then suddenly are EXPERTS when England are playing in a tournament. Not you lot, obviously.

Hart, Foster, Ruddy,
Jags, Cahill, Baines, Cole, Johnson, Smalling, Jones, JENKINSON
Gerrard, Milner, Walcott, Townsend, BARKLEY, Wilshere, Carrick, Oxlade
Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck, LAMBERT

Note - this is not the squad I would take. I would be blooding in REDMOND, INCE & WINIFRED as we speak. And BARNES.

Bloody hell - the England squad is really getting weaker every year, isn't it.

Still, I think we are really falling into "underdog" status now, which in football can often be a good thing.

Really?

I think it looks more exciting than that squad posted at the top of the thread, that we took to the World Cup in 2010.

Jenkinson I knew there was a better right-back than Walker
