I grew up in a house where he who shouted loudest, was deemed right... I've now learned that this isn't necessarily the case...

Whatever. You carry on but I will let the others decide who is "deemed right."

I've already ended in up in " the downward spiral of anger, frustration and despair" some 15 years ago. My life now is pretty free of those things.

Plenty of disrespect intended but your advice ain't worth squat.

I would say you've still got a bit of work to do on the anger bit.

Wow what a clutch of sensitive flowers. Ok for you to dish out the insults but heaven forbid someone rattles your cage.

If you dont want to continue the debate just dont bother replying - its all very simple.

Like some of the people on this thread my sympathy is reserved entirely for those whom have not helped in their own deaths. The reason I have never taken anything remotely similar is because I know eventually it will take a hold and I would end up screwed.
Sorry but so what

Perhaps not everyone thinks as clearly as you or is so sensible?

I am certain it is very easy to prophesise without having walked in their shoes.

It's a shame debate always seems to turn into name calling on NSC. Oh well.

Personally, I find it hard to find sympathy for people who wreck their lives with drugs because they know what they're getting into when they start taking them. It's their families that one has to have sympathy for.

I appreciate where you're coming from but some people cannot always help themselves and some people have a wreck of a life in the first place which they want to escape from. They might know what they are getting into but if they feel its a better place than they are currently in then I feel it's difficult to completely blame them. The families you mention might have caused the problem in the first place. And people wreck their lives through all manner of means why single out drugs? We need to accept that some people have certain weaknesses and offer to help them without prejudice.

Often the best way if you find you cannot compete in a debate.

And there was me thinking you might have bounced this thread to apologise for being a fool.
