Not at all, I was at both this season's and last season's games thanks. I'd rather not have been there this year, but that's football.

I stand by what I said - the home atmosphere at Selhurst was nothing special at all, but there's nothing new about that. There are probably very few teams who create an atmosphere at home that matches their efforts away. The way it works is simple:

Home fans: quietish, and on the receiving end of 'worst support we've ever seen'.
Away fans: loud, and givers of 'worst support we've ever seen' (whilst conveniently ignoring how poor they are at home themselves)

Well said, apart from a couple of generic chants which are loud (Alllllbbbiioooon, Allllbbbiioooon, being one!), I wouldn't say The Amex has a special atmosphere either. In fact, there isn't one team in the country now that has a special home atmosphere. You'll need to go to Germany for that!

I thought the atmosphere in our 3-0 was very good but the fact it was so comfortable, in part due to the referee, it actually killed the atmosphere for the last 30 minutes!

Yes, that's what I was saying. You will note I made no claims about the atmosphere at the Amex. You'll also note one of your lot was making claims about Selhurst.

I know, I know. The atmosphere at Selhurst isn't as good as some make out, especially as the Holmesdale stand has horrible acoustics and the away fans are tucked away nicely next to our family stand thanks to policing costs being so high.

English football is a long way off having decent home support and thats by in large thanks to overzealous H&S, the atmosphere here in Bogota is absolutely fantastic and still safe.

Have a mosey on over to Italy and stand in the middle of the Lazio ultras. I am sure your opinion would change.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Personally I have no respect for Italian Ultras, especially Lazio. Racist an cowardly. Love to chiv their enemies when numbers are heavily in their favour but never willing to trade punches when it's more even (ask Spurs).

I've met some German ultras on my travels and I admit having respect for them. The lot I met (Hanover 96) seemed to have found a bit of mid way ground between the English discerning thug and your typical European ultra. Either way they had a sense of fair play about them and made myself an my entourage very welcome. Our discussion was cut short when they had to leave to attempt to set fire to St Pauli's stadium, which did make me chuckle.

Palace fans put on a show at Watford - YouTube

If you fancy cringing for the entire duration of a YouTube vid then have a watch. Fully grown men bouncing around pretending to be ultras (south London style apparently). Can't beleive anyone over 15 with a fully functioning brain would subject themselves to this sort of behaviour.

Are you some kind of rugby supporting corduroy trouser wearing prawn sandwich noshing upper middle class twonk? This is what the majority of about 2,500 of us were doing all of the game, particularly when 2-0 down. It's called being passionate about your team and inspiring them to play better. And they did. We probably got a goal from our support alone.

If you'd rather sit around and moan for most of the game, then you have the team that you deserve. :bigwave:

Now I know hat bigbelly had in his laptop case. A mini disco and dry ice machine! How did they cart that in? Imagine if we did something like that at the Amex...stewards galore, bans, ejections.

Unfortunately for you, this 'knobseekers allowance' is being funded by cuts in benefits.

Unlucky.
