I think it would be fantastic. It's what being a fan is all about. An all or nothing, winner takes all game, against your main rivals. Bloody fantastic, maybe it's meant to be. And payback, for the 5-1, the 1-3 at the Amex and for the Dunk red card....I want it to happen.

Perhaps we will have the last laugh, after all.

Palace will fade further as they have already been doing under Holloway
Their back 4 is weak and not good enough to sustain a play-off place
Love it if we did meet the scum though

Our back 4 isn't weak. Our reserve back 4 that we have been forced to play in the last couple of months is weak. Once Ward, Paddy, Gabbidon and Parr are back we'll be fine.

this did cross my mind this morning although dismissed almost immediately as CP won't be there

Utter madness. It's obvious that most of you are joking but I think a few of you cretins actually think that Palace will miss out on the top six! More chance of us being in the automatic promotion spots than in 7th place.

McCarthy is a hopeless donkey, I hope he comes back very soon. Ward, Gabbidon and Parr are just rubbish.

Joke club, joke supporters.

I'll be very surprised if you win another game this season.

Poor effort old boy

I'd be extremely surprised to see Brighton in the top 6 at the end of the season. The top 6 this year is largely filled with attacking teams. Watford, Palace, Leicester, Cardiff, etc. have the strongest strike forces in the division. Zaha, Williams, Murray and Bolasie are so far ahead of your forwards it's unreal. You just can't compete with us, as was evident against Hull on Saturday evening. You looked really, really poor.

Thanks for taking points off our automatic promotion rivals though. That may well be the goal that puts us in second place at the end of the season :)

The difference is that, when we underestimate Crystal Palace, we are joking, but, when Palace underestimate us, they are being serious.

Why extremely surprised?

We may even be top 6 in just 2 days.

It's good to see that you've already judged Leo Ulloa after only 2.5 games, and have hence already assessed our strikeforce.

This extreme Palace arrogance will have a payback, and it will be very sweet.

The way I see it. Cardiff and Watford will go up automatic. Then Leicester,Hull, Palace and hopefully us. Weird as it may seem or sound I think Leicester are the best team for us to play over two legs. But I also think Hull would beat Palace over two legs. So it's possible we could play Palace at Wembley, but more likely Hull. That would be a tight one to call 0-0, 0-0, 1-0 and 1-0 the last four meetings. What chances a 4-3 at Wembley, or a 0-0 and pens.....I do believe we would beat Leicester over two legs, but would not want to play Watford.

Im amazed after Friday's game you think Watford will finish 2nd, but we wont ?? Watford arent that great, and you could tell on Friday when we got 1 we would get a 2nd. If you're considering yourselves, you also have to realistically look at Blackburn and Leeds too I think. Bit of a gap below us, and that 4th play-off spot is anyones I reckon, as ar the 2nd - 5th spots out of the current clubs that occupy them.

To answer the OP, there is a chance of this happening and what a day out that would be, but as someone who was at Wembley when we lost with the last kick of the game one year, I thought that was the most gutted I'd ever be, but losing to Brighton in the worlds richest prize game of football ? The stuff of nightmares. But we usually beat you so thats ok. Penalties ?? f*** that, I mean f*** THAT !

Your team is rubbish as is your stadium.

Your owners have weird haircuts.

You probably smell.

Have to agree, his posts are arrogant. Most Palace fans are more realistic though so don't tar us all with the same brush. You have your own arrogant set of fans on here like Seagull over Grimsby, WCP and the biggest knob of all, The Major so it applies for both sides.

Actually the records show that you tend to lose to us rather than beat us.

Palace have the ability to come back and win when we go behind, and sometimes even when we go two goals behind. If Brighton concede first they occasionally get a draw at best. Brighton bottle derby games and very rarely beat teams at the top of the table.

The Brighton team is spineless and doesn't have the stomach for the playoffs. Sorry.

As for Watford finishing second... don't make me laugh. We played them off the pitch in the second half and but for a suicidal start and some bad luck at the end we would have taken a deserved 3 points. Second place will be between Palace and Leicester.

If you get into the top 6 it will be at 'Boro's expense, but given Blackburn's recent form if they beat you on Tuesday they'll probably replace 'Boro instead of you.

True, I wouldn't want to tar everyone with the same brush, and in real life I know some GREAT Palace fans. Mr Murray does seem to have a gift for arrogant posts though.
