No point Andy Naylor trying to find out from the coaching team when Vicente will play again. Vicente probably hasn't mentioned when he fancies a game to them yet.

Oh after Xmas is in two months time btw.

Where has it been stated that he's on 25k a week? Personally I'd be surprised if he's on that much, but maybe I've missed something.

He's most probably taken the figure from Football Manager. There's not a whiff of a real figure anywhere, nor should there be.

Indeed. It's quite clear he's here against his own will......the 25k a week he's on could have been spent elsewhere

You know full well he is on 85K a week, not bad for the championship. (Who can blame him?).

Moving on. I don't think management can predict a comeback date if the depression rumours are true.

.......or, his return date has continued to change as his injury and recovery time has changed. I know it's very frustrating to have somebody of that quality here but not able to play, but we don't have any evidence to suggest that it is anything other than the injuries and injury/recovery setbacks that we hear about, do we?

Difference here is Harley is capable and willing to play. Hoskins is willing but that useless muppet set him back a few months with a broken foot.
Fair enough they may not be of the same pedigree however over the course of 1.5 seasons, we both know who would have earned the least points for the team.

Wtf are you on about? Vicente earned AT LEAST ten points single handedly last season compared to zero from Harley and Hoskins combined.

so here we go again looking back on old imfo about vicente naylor said on 9th october he would be back in full training after internatinal break wrong, poyet said they would arrange.reserve game for him ,never happened, now oatway says after chrismas time, wot the fxxx is goin on?

If you listen to the interview it is clear that Oatway isn't saying that Vicente's return date is after Christmas. He actually picks Christmas out of the air as he doesn't actually know/not permitted to say when the expected return is. I imagine it is much sooner to be honest.

Buckley pulls up and the club say 2 to 3 weeks with a hamstring pull.
CMS similar. Hoskins we are told 6 to 8 weeks and then he can train again at 100 % but with Vicente and his thigh strain ? Or groin or whatever nobody knows for sure. It is a f***ing joke now. Sometimes I wish he was gash like Harley.

Everything is pure speculation. No-one knows the truth and IMO only the top people in Brighton know the truth about Vicente's 'injury' (top being the board, Gus, Tanno, Oatway, Physio). I reckon the players don't even know where he goes (except maybe Calde and Bruno)

No...he has ' tender-itis '.....slightly different. It is a fairly rare condition where the sufferer is susceptible to the slightest thing. Sleeping awkwardly, getting out of a chair too quickly, sneezing too strongly and straining muscles, breaking finger-nails, a change in the weather, a change of tv channel, people speaking too loudly, mass noise together ( e.g football stadiums ), bright lights, darkness, dogs, cats, birds, fish, anything green, Portugal, England, the sea, places beginning with the letter ' B ', team meetings, doctors, physios, consultants, travel, daylight and striking anything spherical with your feet.
There is no known cure.

massive shame this whole scenario.......the guy is obviously one of the best to ever pull on an Albion shirt but unfortunately appears to be way too fragile for championship football ,if we are still paying him 25k a week it is very bad business on our part.

I think we need authenticed photocopies of his last 3 bank statements to know whether or not he is on 25K per week.

This is a case of a rumour being repeated and becoming fact.

I reckon he is too fragile for blow football let alone The English Leagues.

I think this may well be very close to the truth .... unfortunately.

If those who are so sure he: won't play for us again; is in Spain all the time; is just collecting his £25k a week (WTAF???) wages; and/or isn't injured at all, then Gus and co must be too. In which case, why haven't they cancelled his contract, sold him to Elche, or allowed him to buy out his contract? I mean with the earnings of £100,000 a month, the latter option should be pretty easy, no?

OR, it could be that he is injured (as he has been on and off for a few years now), and is hoping to get back playing asap?

I personally hope he can make it back to 10 starts this season, just so kevtherev can welch on his latest 'forfeit' :dunce::rolleyes:

I am not saying he is on anything like that , but i seem to recall a quote from Big Sam at Westham saying he was offered to West Ham and they turned him down for his wage demands and that he was suprised he went to brighton . It was also at the same time we got CMS
