2,000 people on season ticket waiting list vs 42 not renewing

I didn't think you had to re-new your season ticket, but it just rolled over, like a gym membership and you only had to
contact the club if you were cancelling? Is that wrong?

That's how I believe it to happen... rolls on unless you request otherwise.

That is exactly what I was told yesterday. I was worried as m new address has not been registered with the club and I did not want to miss the renewal information. Very helpful chap called Lee assured me that if I did nothing then I would have the same season tickets and the DD would be collected.

i have a couple of amtes looking to become season ticket holders for the first time next season,. Advice i got yesterday for them was register on-line and create an account with a fan number etc and then contact the club.

Silly question but how do I get on the list? I didn't have the money for a ST first time round but now I do.

This thread prompted me into getting on the list.... work patterns have changed so i should be able to make saturdays next season...woop!

Phone up the ticket line - give them your fan number and you are in.

The man at the office said about 3k people already on list.... Also that if the planning gets though, they still haven't worked out how many they'd have assigned to new ST holders.

Would have thought that if expansion occurs, then should be fine. <5k for this expansion>

If 42 is the answer, what's the question?

We need a bigger computer to work that one out.

Think we will definitely end up with more than 20k STH for next season - pretty incredible given our average gates at Withdean!

Isn't this a copy and paste of the Mid Sussex Seagulls debrief from Richard Hebbard's visit the other night?

Shoddy

Why is it shoddy? I hadn't read the debrief from the meeting and i'm sure others hadn't either.

I'm not sure why people feel compelled to have a pop at these articles and their authors, I can understand the HB&B attackes because it is popular to do so on here but personally I enjoy reading Walt's efforts and if i didn't I wouldn't read them rather than directing little digs.

The second paragraph wasn't just direceted at you by the way.

I will be keeping a close eye on developments and the waiting list as I am contemplating whether or not to renew - not through any fault of the club (it has been fantastic), just personal circumstances dictating things.

If the new seats being installed mean the waiting list is completely burnt through, then it isn't worth me getting a season ticket. However, by the sounds of it, there is no guarantee that even with a capacity of 27-28,000 (first phase) we won't fill it mostly with STHs, in which case I'll keep my ST to ensure I can get into the big games.

It's essentially SPAM. He starts threads about topics purely to get more hits on his "articles"

I have no problem with Walt, just surprised to say the least that he's quite literally simply changed a few words of the Mid Sussex Seagulls news article and made it his own story, without crediting them in the slightest. Fair play though, he's owned up since...

In fairness, the stuff I do on the Albion is very much a small bit we have just for our websites. Certainly wasn't doing it for any personal kudos or anything. Just was genuinely interested by the debrief so thought I would share it and had about five minutes to do so before having to get on with my other work.

Didn't mean to cause offence or leave anyone miffed.

No, it's not spam. In fairness, what he has done here is not unreasonable at all, as the information being linked to is of some value. I hate it when people link their "look at me" shitty, drivelly blogs as much as the next man, but there's a lot of reasonably new information in Richie's link here...

Have I missed where this info is on here? I'm not part of Mid Sussex, so this is the first I've heard of these things. Thanks Walt for bringing this to our attention.

Good luck with everything. My cousin was ordained this year and takes up his first role as a parish priest in September. If you need any advice on getting through your time as a novice monk and all the work required leading up to your ordination PM me and I will put you in touch with my cousin.
