From her name I would say she is an Estonian citizen with Russian heritage. Because that's not an Estonian name.

How long before Putin claims Russians are being persecuted in Estonia by the Nazi leaders.

He hates Estonia 🇪🇪 anyway. Especially as former PM now working in the EU Kaja Kallas has always been so outspoken against Putin.
This banner has been hanging on the Estonian side of the Narva river facing Russia for a while now

According to Steve Rosenberg today, Russian newspapers are reporting “alarming “ signals in the economy. Things must be bad if government controlled media is reporting in that way. It seems ( not surprisingly) that one of the few growth sectors is the defence industry.
Large numbers of oil refineries in Russia going up in smoke is clearly having an effect.

If we had told ordinary Russians about it, perhaps things would have been different.

But Putin has had decades, generations, to hone his skills of shaping and controlling the Russian public.
Part of me thinks that most Russians would be ok with that million, even if they believed it. So long as they didn't lose their own kids (?), all done for the glory of mother Russia. They have destructive tendencies.

I know what you mean. They are a warring nation. If they did believe they had lost a million sons, I have no doubt that Putin would use it to celebrate the million as heroes of Russia, like they did with the regiment of the missing on Victory Day. All carefully curated, and despite him sending them all to their deaths.
