They cant go to the confrence due to Brondby who finished 3rd in Denmark being owned by the same group
It’s David Blitzer, one of the other Palace owners that has shares in Brondby. He has shares in 7 different European clubs via his Global Football Holdings company.

Textor has shares in Palace, Lyon and Belgian second division side R.W.D. Molenbeek.

Baffling they didn't sort that out. There was always a (slim, but possible) chance that they could have sneaked 8th with the form they were in. What an utter tinpot club.

The tweets below sum it up for me.

Their own fans see this as "typical Palace", agreeing with us that this whole situation is emblematic of how they seem to go about things.

If it's not mis-spelling the club name on shirts, fans vandalising their own coach, a stand due for completion in 2021 that hasn't even been started in 2025, it's having to sweat it out when they've had the best accomplishment in their club's history.

I'm sure they'll end up competing in the Europa League when this all finally plays out, but the fact that they weren't able to get their ducks in a row before now, is just bloody funny.

Since when did Palace ever “do the right thing”? From late accounts to going bust more than once, paying a pittance to suppliers when doing so and reneging on Zaha‘s “get out” clause, to this. It’s the Palace way

The UEFA rules on this are very contradictory, but I think section (c) is key. As Textor only has a 25% stake, he doesn't have a decisive say. In which case, Palace should be fine.

I know people think a solution will be found but surely that just makes a mockery of their rules? What are Forest and their fans are saying about this as in their interests to get moved up to the Europa?
Do we know when the outcome of this meeting will be?

Has a look over the metaphorical garden fence at the neighbours (the sort of neighbours who have an old fridge and rusty car parts on their lawn with a mangy, barking mongrel dog chained up amongst the debris). A mix of ‘non story’, slow news day but with a bit of a sense of impending doom amongst some……

just a thought, why would UEFA summon Palace if they didn't think they were breaking rules? Wouldn't they just have basically ignored it all, or said there is no conflict. The very fact that they have asked Palace to attend means they think they are breaking the rules.
They are breaking the rules. He has more than 30% in both clubs. Question is whether there is wriggle room for it not to be an issue.

It wouldn't be a technicality. They gained a competitive advantage from the multi-club ownership. If that was done in a way that's against Uefa's rules then they CHEATED and our subsequent qualification would be well deserved because we didn't cheat.
WHAT?! WAIT A MINUTE!!!

There’s a suggestion that Palace cheated?! In the whole of their miserable 15 years of existence there has been little evidence of that so far. 🤔

I wouldn’t read too much into the sensationalist stories being peddled by the tabloids. As if the Governance Committee of CPFC would be blind to any regulatory implications relating to shared ownership. They’ll have compliance officers all over this. I hardly think Steve Parish wakes up one morning, lifts The Sun and thinks “oh crap”. Brighton fans however will need new duvets this morning.

I see this as a win-win in the case of CPFC2010. If they get kicked out, its unfair, sad and absolutely effing hilarious. If they compete they are basically illegitimate cheats and all results are morally null and void.

They should probably have the FA cup taken off them as well . . .

. . . And given to us.
