Everton FCs excuse or defence if you like seems to centre around a lot of 'whataboutery', what about City, Chelsea etc. Never a good move really, did they or did they not over spend and knowingly do so in breach of FFP rules? Its a simple yes or no answer Everton and the PL having reviewed the evidence have decided you did. Scouse levels of whining and victimhood about being punished for it just makes every other football fan likely to consolidate the opinion that they deserve it and should take the punishment and stfu.

Expect even greater levels of whining and playing the victim if the PL grow a set and finally throw the book at City and Chelsea, again every other football fan believes their success is built on levels of unsustainable and unfair spending by owners of extremely dubious morals, lawfulness and fitness to be involved in football.

Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly have to sell player/s for a big profit, to buy in this window. So they maxed out and some in recent windows, pas de surprise.
Arsenal have to sell to buy it seems, Chelsea are trying to flog home grown players now.

Arsenal have a lot of decent players they can sell, Chelsea, less so

Brighton factually.....
Let me know when City and Chelsea are put in league 2
Dreamland that right there, would be so much fun watching the meltdown by Chelsea fans all over the world....
Hours of fun...

I don't think City fans would be that bothered to be honest, many would welcome that and enjoy the ride.

Rumours suggesting Wolves/Forest might be facing points Deduction.

Newcastle moaning they have to sell a star player

Is FFP finally kicking in?
Villa supporting relative said Wolverhampton have been cheating the system for years and will finally get their cumuppance this weekend.

It should be points deduction and transfer freezes for clubs that are found out.

Agree, 15 point deductions and transfer embargoes for the next 3 transfer windows for me. Whilst Everton would be a huge loss I don't think anybody would really miss Wolverhampton or Forest from the PL.

City, I think, would do a Rangers - fan support stayed solid and happily romped up through the lower leagues, back to winning the SPL under Steven Gerrard, and into Europe. It wasn't good for Rangers' finance, to be sure, but City no doubt have the resources not to be bothered about that.

Chelsea? Hmmm ...................

There was a rumble about Forest a while back, but my understanding is they are (barely) clear.

With Wolves, I have seen suggestions that they would have been free and clear IF the Nunes transfer had been sorted earlier in the summer, but is now booked in the next year's accounts and they're f***ed.

Forest is a great away trip, I’d miss that for sure

Disagree - less fashionable clubs shouldn’t be so easily discarded for more ‘glamorous’ ones like Everton - fair play they get punished but I’d far rather City, Chelsea and Everton get their come uppance

This was always the big issue for Chelsea. All well and good buying numerous expensive players on long term contracts but effectively they have spent their money in advance from future transfer windows. The next few windows could interesting if FFP really does have any teeth.
