not sure I like the idea of a rampant Fulham speeding up the table , a dull 0-0 would have been nice , same yesterday with palace v Liverpool , didn't get the cheering in WSU and yes I lived through the 70's & 80's at the goldstone. Liverpool are our footballing competition now not Palace.

I see where you’re coming from but…

Palace losing will always be funny.

Newcastle are absolutely shot, they can’t keep up… Howe seems the opposite of RDZ, consistently playing the same team every game… the players look done.
Hence why Roberto makes so many changes. Yes, we didn't win yesterday and dropped too many points but at least we're competing and still looking the better side in most if not all our games so far.

Most of the Newcastle players look like they can barely run, like you say… there is method in the madness and we’ve dropped points because of all the changes but watching this game, the alternative of burnout looks far worse.

5 high intensity games unchanged in a row in 15 odd days will do this to even the fittest of players.

I'm sure I've read somewhere on here that players are paid so much they should easily manage 7 games a week!

Liverpool will almost certainly be top 2/3 this season, we‘ll hopefully be in a fight for 4th/5th but can’t see any higher than that so not unhappy they beat palace (more important for us they beat Newcastle, Man U, Villa, Chelsea and Spurs)

If we're in a fight for 4th or 5th, I'll eat my hat. If we managed to get our whole squad to full fitness, I'd still eat my hat.
I predict 8th, and hopefully a good run in Europe.
As for the FA Cup? Meh.

Bloody hell spurs look good!

May swap teams to spurs if we don’t start winning watches again

Spurs can still be hot and cold, hope they get a shed load today, bugger up Newcastle goal difference a bit.

4th. or 5th. a tad optimistic IMHO - but your point still holds if we're still in with a shout for a second season in Europe, even the conference.
