You’ve made a ricket there, Monster munch all day long. Quavers Ffs
I had the Monster Munch on Monday, of which I am fond. But not all day long, and not twice in 3 days.
Plus my parakeet prefers Quavers. Monster Munch (and Wotsits) tend to get stuck round his beak. Its not ALL about me.

You misunderstand. Not the choice to HAVE your grab bag. Your SHOCKING choice, given the two available options.

:nono:
Frankly the grab-bag crisp choice in Southwick Sq is bewildering, so I HAVE to rotate the squad over the week.

Monster Munch (red hot)
Monster Munch (roast beef)
Quavers
McCoys (various)
Wotsits
Roysters
Spicy Nik-Naks
Squares (S&V or C&O)
Griddles
Walkers (various)

Thats just off the top of my head. Quavers are decently cheesy, and deserve their place.

I don't think he clocked my crisp choice, but Quavers / Monster Munch grab bag a poor call ?? Give your head a wobble.
Please, do yourself a favour and take heed of the advice given rather than make out Charlie didn't "clock your crisp choice".

Of course he f**king did. Monster Munch are the snack of champions (esp beef flavour, but red hot is decent), Quavers the choice of an absolute purse of a man.

Everyone knows PICKLED ONION monster munch is the connoisseurs crisp of choice

After all it wasn't Roast beef that won the 2016 World Cup was it?

Well I genuinely had no clue that Quavers were held in such utter CONTEMPT by NSC. I have been happily enjoying them for as long as I can remember, and will continue to do so. Once you hit your 50s, you tend to care less and less about what others think, which I find immensely liberating.

They do indeed. I've sat outside on many a lazy Sunday afternoon half-watching some middle-aged tugboats slapping it around a bit whilst I peruse the sports pullout. One of my favourite pastimes.
I played there a few times. I hit three straight sixes once resulting in a lost ball down by the railway tunnel. I loved batting there…… If I’d known then though that people ate Quavers in that pub… huh.

A brief little chat in the Cricketers during my lunch "hour" today (WFH) when I clocked Charlie on his own. I asked if he was going to the game tomorrow, which he isn't, but said he will def be watching it. I'd completely forgotten that he'd been at AEK with Gus a few years back. He reckons that we will absolutely BATTER them tomorrow. He enjoyed his time there, but said their ultras are complete and utter mentalists, something to bear in mind for anyone travelling over there (if we didn't already know). Anyway, I didn't want the crowd the poor bloke being as he was engrossed with something on his phone, so I sloped back to my table with an Amstel and a grab-bag of Quavers.

Top bloke.
I presumed you meant the one by the cricket ground . They don’t sell quavers. Hummus dip with flat bread is nice mind you .

So you bought crisps to take into a pub that presumably already sells crisps?

Did you take a four pack of cans with you as well?
I bought the crisps to take home with me for my lunch, I did not consume them on the premises. This is a regular occurrence, as the crisp selection behind the bar is limited and does not meet my needs.

I had my last pint in there as a free man.
It was 26 years later before I experienced it again.
Killed someone for breathing cheesy Quavers all over you whilst having a quiet pint minding your own business??? thought so.

Well l'm glad to see that the original humble crisp made it onto your list, even if it is at the very bottom.

Cheese and Onion flavour l trust.

Doesn't sit well with me. The temptation to enjoy said crisps with your pint would be too much for me and I would be very suspicious of you if I was behind the jump. Especially with your choice as well. As others have pointed out who eats Quavers?

Why didn't you buy them on the way home?

Before I leave for the pub, I have already prepared my lunchtime sandwich to consume upon my return. It would be madness - madness - to eat my crisps before my sandwich. Therefore the grab-bag remains unmolested until my return.

And I buy the crisps at the same time as I buy my newspaper, which I read in the pub. Thats why.

I like a quaver. But I prefer a semibreve.

Don't admit to your newspaper of choice, whatever you do. It's bad enough admitting to your savoury munchy snack.
