A group of pretty rough looking albion fans went past us then about 30 seconds later 3 barberry clad Luton fans squared up to me and my mate's 15 year old brother who I was taking to the match.

They would have noticed the group of Albon fans who would have relished the challenge but chose me, a 10 stone 23 year old and a 15 year old still waiting for his voice to break.
There is a lack of brains among some people.... mostly Luton, Palace, Pompey, and Millwall to name a few. I hope it does not put you off going.

Well we didn’t look very sharp yet we won 4-1 ….but we could and should have had at least 7 or 8!

ok it was only Luton and they will struggle ( although they could have had a couple) this season, but what a set of replacements. Milner is bloody excellent singing, pedro looks class and van hecke was IMMENSE!

let’s not get carried away but I think the quadruple is definitely on!

I hope Luton find it almost this hard all season. Would love to see them back down with a record low points total.
Bit mean. Happy to take 6 points off them but whatever they done to upset you? BTW I was born there but luckily my parents moved to Brighton when I was 1

Totally disagree…never had anything but shit visiting their shithouse ground…with brighton and huddersfield

my mother , god rest her soul, went to her last game back in the 70’s due to their fans and one of their countless knuckledraggers actually hit her when trying to grab her scarf.

may they feck off back to oblivion.

Luton need to learn lessons from this but they were dreadful.

WSU and a Luton fan sat next to me, quite a nice bloke as well, however, he had purchased my sons ticket which he put on the exchange via Stubhub (so he claimed) how did that happen ?

Should have asked him what he paid

I don't think they were dreadful.

They threatened on the counter, and I think will score a few at set pieces.

Remember we made a lot of teams look shit at home last season.

I think they will go down, but will give a few sides a bloody nose

Nice start to the season, and thought Joao Pedro and Milner had particularly good games, but on the whole, apart from a bit of initial rustiness we showed our class.

Interesting to see the new internal signage with the changed name of the Amex - over the tunnel, on the newish TV studio bit, and above the East Stand were new signage for American Express Stadium. The one above the East was particularly nice. I've got a couple of poor quality phone pics if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Agreed. The lad they have on loan from Man City (?) looks handy.

First time I’ve been able to get to the first match of the season in years. What a joyous performance, and what a weak pen awarded against us.

My daughter and son with me for the first time. My daughter is a convert, an amazing day. UTA

Weren’t bad - weren’t good by our new high standards. We just won 4-1 in the premier f***ing league and I’ve written those words. What a time to be alive.

Ps - transfer window should not shut a few weeks into season - could’ve screwed us today and next week or the week after - just saying.

Great result regardless 😃

I need to see it back but naked eye - the Adringa goal - 100% pen on Pedro before it. And for balance, both pens given were soft as f***!

I’d keep quiet about that. If he sold it on StubHub, he’s touting.

We weren't at our most fluid best but it was enough to see off Luton.

The beauty is in the stats. With 3 points, 71% possession, 4 goals all from different players, 27 shots, and 12 on target, it was a good start to the campaign.
