On way back from the game. It was very, very Potterish again today, as it was against Palace. Lots of flattering play and chances which looked dangerous. But thinking about it’s hard to remember clear cut chances. It was a stream of half chances and dominating possession.

Their winner was sadly very predictable. They had our number. The time wasting from Leno, breaking momentum from around the 10th minute onwards. It was basically a masterclass in how to kill a game, similar to that which Villa gave us at the Amex earlier this season.

The refereeing was very poor yet again, he failed to get control of the game and game some baffling decisions both for but mostly against us. A clear push in the back of Pervis on the edge of the area was given as a foul to Fulham and I have absolutely no idea what he has seen there.

Sanchez - 6
Veltman - 6
Dunk - 7
Webster - 6
Estupinan - 7
Gross - 4
Caicedo - 8 - MOTM
Mitoma - 5
MacAllister - 6
Ferguson - 7
March - 6

Can’t be arsed with the subs.

Very disappointing result and concerning performance - not that we were dreadful. That is was identical to a Potter home loss in basically every single way. All the evidence suggested we had moved on from that, but today confirmed otherwise.
March 6!?!?

Yeah we are well known for our awful recruitment and this just proves it.
Fair enough if you have a contrary opinion, I’ll happily read it and respond to it. If you think bringing in a couple of teenagers to replace our record signing and top scorer is acceptable, I’d be interested to hear why, rather than getting some disparaging, sarcastic shite.

Needs to go down more easily. Can’t think of many pens being given for shirt pulling unless the player hits the deck. It’s wrong and doesn’t make it any more of a foul, but that seems to be the case.
Like Solly who was fouled in the second half, but he didn't go down, he just pointed as his foot, so the ref ignored him and Fulham won a corner. Solly should have gone down.

Ridiculous post. Look at where we are in the table and how we've got there. How anyone can remotely criticise any part of our recruitment is utterly ludicrous.

The problem with recruiting in January is that there are rarely players available that are ready to slot straight into the team. Teams aren’t going to sell players of that calibre until the summer, as Arsenal found out with Caicedo.

Yes that was so frustrating it was actually a dangerous tackle that could have hurt March if he hadn’t hurdled it. Refs are poor across English football which despite that recent comical weekend is why I’ll never want VAR taken away

Can’t see Europe happening because we’re still too easy to frustrate.

That’s not a complaint as such. I’m loving the football and the novelty about not worrying about relegation. It’s just a measure of the difficulty in kicking on to the next level.
I’ll take whatever happens as long as we don’t cheat like Fulham and Villa. How refs keep getting taken in by blatant cheating astounds me. Delighted we are not like that.

I think all head injuries should go to VAR for a check on what happened, simulation should be a red card

Looks as though RDZ has decided to play Mac further forward which has not come off, think he has had 6 decent chances in the 2 games but no goals. In both games March and Mitoma have stayed more on the wing. If we are going to persist with them staying wide we need to be getting the ball to them more often and much much quicker.

Go down with a head injury, mandatory 5 or 10 mins on the sidelines, no concussion sub. Would stop the feigning head injury stopping play.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi on why he was sent off, speaking to Sky Sports: "Because I told the referee that this week we had a meeting with his boss (Howard Webb) and I lost time and lost time in my work and my job because I think the level of refereeing in the Premier League is very bad.

"To progress we have to be with a different attitude. The referee today wasn’t in good attitude. But it’s not a problem, I didn’t say any bad words but I told him my opinion.

"I lost time. I lost time in my work to prepare my team. It was the last time I will have a meeting.

"I’m not angry because we played a fantastic game. This is our way, we have to follow it. We had many chances to score, we suffered nothing but we know very well how football can be and there are these type of games where you have a lot of chances to score but in the end you lose the game.

"I’m not frustrated but it’s my opinion about the referee.

"When I speak about referees I speak about in terms of attitude. He was not very clear in his attitude.

"I don’t want to explain more but I wanted to explain my red card."

Strange couple of performances from my BOY Mitoma, considering the level he was at prior. Thought he was noticeably quiet again today. I think defences are so wary of him now he scarcely has an inch to work in. We all knew he couldn’t possibly maintain that level of form (or else he’d be worth Mbappe money), but he is a difference maker and at his best he is unstoppable.

Maybe rested for Stoke?
