There is a difference between been a Taliban killing pilot and a gloating Taliban chess piece human killing pilot.
Didn't he say that they were taught to think of them as chess pieces and your job was to take them out of the game. He say's he's not proud of it but also not ashamed but you seem to have fallen into the trap of believing the headlines. Shame.

Because sharp shooter Steve from Stevenage isn't as much a prize kill as the King of England son in the eyes of the Taliban.
So the king’s son would not be a target until he said “when I was an apache pilot I killed taliban” - if they wanted the king’s son then what difference does it make whether he actually killed someone?

Whereas someone like Ant Middleton was just another soldier until he outed himself as special forces. So from not being anything like a public target he made himself one.

I just don’t see how admitting something everyone assumed you will have done makes much difference.

If Ant Middleton was killed, how much of a story would it be.
If the Kings son was killed, how much of a story would it be.

I haven't fallen for any headlines. It is just a stupid thing to put in print.

If people can't see that him openly saying he killed x amount of Taliban chess pieces doesn't increase the wrath of the Taliban, then they havent been watching the news.
And unfortunately I doubt he will be the one to suffer the backlash.

Yes, I watch the news and I fail to see how him stating he killed 25 has increased the risk either for him or others. The taliban already knew he had killed, it was in the papers years ago. There was no 'anti Harry' fuss then.

So you've read it then? (by that I mean what Harry wrote)
I know where you are trying to lead me here. I've read snippets from the book provided by numerous news agencies of all sides of the political spectrum from across europe. In the book he is describing his time out there, what there mindset needs to be and if they achieved there mission, which they did. However is it wise for him to celebrate/gloat/publish this, knowing he is the King's son. I think not. You think different. Life goes on, hopefully.

I agree, but I think it’s the ‘chess pieces’ but that’s new. It’s that dehumanizing language that people are seizing. The army omertà (and probably the best thing to do) is to just not talk about it. I imagine he regrets having said it now.

I love how those so outraged by these comments have fallen for the bait.

The real story here is that that despicable family leaked stories about one of their own to the press to set an agenda. How could you do that to your own flesh and blood?

What an absolute filth of an institution. Full of bigots and cockroaches, looking down their noses at everyone. Disgraceful. Those of you that support it and support behaviour like this should be ashamed of yourselves.

Good on Harry for sticking up for his family, the one that actually give a shit about him.

Unfortunately Harry has been taken in by his wife , a streetwise manipulative woman who knows exactly how to get her own way with him . Back living where she always wanted in a mansion in one of the poshest parts of LA, near Beverly Hills and near her showbiz friends . She had met Oprah twice before inviting her to her wedding apparently but didn’t see fit to invite any members of her own family apart from her mother . That says it all about her priorities in my view .

Scheming , manipulative and Harry has been taken in hook line and sinker . He’s ended up leaving the environment he loves , all his armed forces work and his family . I’m assuming she must be good in bed .
is there a soupcon of jealousy here?

Yet the same people who call Boris Johnson a liar and is not to be trusted were the first to shout down the people who questioned his whole Covid restrictions. They were all conspiracy theorists in their eyes and if he tells you to wear a mask then you have to (even though you spent years telling us he isn't to be trusted)
People are strange.
boris was a puppet, he made no decisions,

people are strange

I don’t quite understand why people are saying that it is new news. Look at how the media celebrated him in 2013

Should Harry have launched a legal suit at the time for placing his life in danger?

You have not even tried to answer the question. It was a story anyway.

The taliban already knew he had killed.

Ant Middleton was unknown until he started making a living from his stories.

I would respectfully suggest you listen to the James O'Brien clip of him reading the segment from the book and you might see it in a different light to just the 'snippets' reported on news and in the papers. You might then not think that it is something he is gloating about.
