They won't shift him for a fee.

Best go back in January if we need him then.

Why would we want someone who hasn't played for nearly a year, next January?

A fair price for him would be £1.5m to take him off Howes hands. He costs Bournemouth £1m every 33 weeks. Howe needs him gone in the next transfer window. But we cannot pay him more than £15k a week.

I'm going to be outrageous and trust Paul Winstanley to do the right thing for the club.

Fook off - look where that got us last time...

...oh wait.

Mind you that Calleri open deal/thing was a bit of a fiasco.
Is it possible to be so charitable that, with 20/20 hindsight, we could say Calleri wasn't just a cheeky 'don't ask don't get' offer.
But it was actually a stepping stone to the clubs first Premier League signing.

Had we got promoted would anyone be surprised if the club singed Calleri, this summer?

Not feeling charitable today. Anyone who needs smoke blown up their 4rse shouldn't have smoke blown up their 4rse.

But who made that all public though? The club....? or him / his agent?, possibly with the motive to try to get a more lucrative move elsewhere by demonstrating that he was available and in demand (hence the talk of Italian clubs, etc being interested in signing him too)

Yeah it was a bit of a reach.

Still it was a considerable more exciting non-signing than anything the 'bring back Murray' brigade can muster.

Worried about whether those injuries have taken away that amazing Watford era speed

It was just watching him power away from El Abd and Greer making them look like they were running in treacle that made you think he was really quick :lolol:

Depending on who the Albion have coming up through the ranks, the team may well need 3 strikers.

The only reason CH isn't spending big wads of Premier League cash, this summer, is because the team spent all of last season short of at least 1 striker.

Top scorers. It was defensive fragility and losing leads that kept us from going up (oh and Mike Dean & Craig Pawson, obviously)

Failing to beat any of the other top six teams more than once in 10 games is why we didn't go up IMO, everything else is just an excuse.

I'm not criticising the club, just reminding Stat Bro that Calleri was an exemption to the success we had recruiting.

Noooo the clamour to 'Bring Glenn home' was infinitely more exciting than the rumours of signing a player no one in Brighton, (if not the whole country), had ever heard of.
