Will be interesting to see how it develops for him.
I said when he left that I was 100% convinced he was going to have a good career but maybe not in the PL, and I think I stick with that. Sure he is the top scorer in the Championship right now but there's no real "all the PL clubs are...
I like Viktor but I struggle to see that working out, both for him and for Everton. If he wants to play in the PL, he'd need to go somewhere to be a backup for a year... not thrown into the starting eleven of this desperate Everton side. Can't see him scoring more than five goals.
Yup, going for Qatar... he'll be 41 by then.
Need to qualify first. Two points ahead of Spain with two games left . The final game, Spain away, will be a nervous one... anything can happen with Zlatan & Isak up front though.
Called up for Sweden again. Happy things are going well for him.
Goalkeepers
Pontus Dahlberg, Doncaster Rovers
Kristoffer Nordfeldt, AIK
Robin Olsen, Sheffield United FC
Defenders
Ludwig Augustinsson, FC Sevilla
Sebastian Holmén, Caykur Rizespor
Emil Krafth, Newcastle United
Alexander...
Called up to the Swedish national team, replacing Zlatan (happy 40th birthday!) who isnt quite ready yet after his latest injury.
Happy for him. His previous caps came for the Swedish B team, so this is his first "real" call-up.
There is not a lot that could have been done differently though.
If he was 20 or 21 with multiple years left on the contract, I agree it would have looked like a mistake. But he is 23, had a couple of not-so-great seasons out on loan... it was either selling him now or extending his contract...
His talent is obvious to anyone who has seen him a lot.
He moved to the Premier League too early and too late simultanously and would have needed to go to a smaller league before heading to England. As a 20 year old (when he arrived, 23 now) you dont have that many years to show what you can...
Getting some very nice ratings from the fans: https://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/player-ratings.135718/
Hope it wasnt a mistake to sell him... from watching him talk and play (mainly in the Swedish U21) I think he will turn into a great player one day.
Good luck to him.
I actually believe he will turn into a great striker (Premier League level) because he got the right attitude and the right attributes, but maybe moved abroad a bit too early and will be considered a late bloomer once he reaches his potential.
One million pounds is what I've been told from the source who might as well have said 12 miljoner kronor. So I'm guessing the Expressen journalist was told the same thing but decided to translate the fee.
No idea but I would guess the club tries to get sell-on clauses into any U23s sold.
https://www.expressen.se/sport/fotboll/allsvenskan/gyokeres-nya-klubb-blir-kvar-i-england/ is one source, but I got the info independently as well (probably from the same original source).
12 mkr = ca £1m

Says he is aware of the interest from Malmö FF but nothing is close to done yet, says it depends a lot on what Brighton wants to do.
