He's going to Liverpool isn't he? The rumours are just too strong and persistent and they do desperately need him.
Will be a bit heartbroken to seem him go but can't begrudge him the move he wants as long as we get the right fee. And at least it's not the West London Chavs.
All of this.
Tonight also highlighted that he should start every game from the deeper midfield role rather than further forward. He controls game’s when he’s further back, he totally dominated the midfield tonight.
No I don’t think there’s been anything wrong with his attitude or desire lately, he’s just being played in the wrong position and we’re not getting the best of him there.
It’s such a shame Lallana got injured as I think he would be playing in his stronger, deeper position if Lallana was fit. As...
Totally. He's one of the best and most natural number 6's I've seen in recent years. He just needs to accept that. Playing in that role, he would start and excel for any side in the world. A number 10, he is not (except on the back of his shirt!).
Yep, totally logical signing for City. I’ve said since the end of last season he would be a perfect addition to their midfield in a deeper role and I thought they’d go for him this summer.
He will have to forget any ideas about playing the number 10 role he apparently wants though.
It’s going to be interesting this for Mac Allister. He’s not had a great half playing further forward which doesn’t surprise me, he’s just not natural there IMO.
He sees himself as a number 10 but to me, he is clearly a natural number 6. If he really wants a move to a top, Champions League...
Predicted on here last summer that City would be in for him. He’s the perfect City player and ideal replacement for Gundogan but could also play the Rodri, Bernardo Silva and KDB roles.
You’re really not a fan of his are you?! 😂
Totally disagree with all of this, particularly the confidence player thing, he has proven that mental resilience is actually one of his many strengths.
Unreal!! What a special performance, again!
He should be anchoring that Argentina midfield at the World Cup.
And please can some stop the talk about moving him further forward, he’s playing in the position he was born to play, bossing the game week in week out.
Agree with all of that. This is his position.
From the home game against Southampton last season I’ve been convinced it is his best position. I watched him really closely in that game and he was wonderful. It was an exhibition in how to play that role, he’s a total natural there. It isn’t...
