Kayal, stockdale, dunk best players. We could have been 2-0 down after five mins easily.

After We controlled game but on chances very even. Derby looked poor in midfield, Johnson useless. Christie five fouls on skalak and no yellow too?!

Sounds about right re Christie. I'm still not sure how he didn't get sent off in the penultimate game last year on the sheer number of fouls he committed.

A very good point. I thought we could have snatched it.

there again a mix up right at the death sounds like us but thanfully didn't lead to a goal.

Very happy with a point today.

Is he that close ? Here's his tweet from this afternoon.

You can't knock getting the first point on the board especially when the first game is away to Derby, Well done lads!

Very hard on Rosenior and Sidwell if Goldson and Stephens come straight back in but how can you leave them out if they are fit. Strange just 2 players but they change what looked a very weak bench today to a very good bench with most positions covered.

Hughton said on radio just now that they are trying to get him fit for Forest.

Of course that doesn't mean they will.

Of course..sounds like Friday would be an incredible turnaround given he's not even in training yet and according to this tweet only started running on Thurs/Friday.

Good performance that. Can't complain too much about result either away at one of the league's best teams - the players were clearly happy to run down the 5 mins injury time.

Skalak was my MOTM. Every delivery was spot on, and we'll score plenty from set pieces this year (could/should have had a couple today). He also seems much more confident with the ball at his feet and turned his man a few times and won several FKs.

Defence looked sound as well. They had one shot at goal in the second half, and one slightly shakey moment at the very end when Bent almost got on the end of a cross.

Quite impressed with us on their board. This being one comment that stood out:

"we should be more than happy with a point today against a Brighton team that looked very good & in my humble opinion whoever finishes above them come seasons end will certainly get promoted"

How bad were Murray's misses?

Great performance from team and away following, felt as if last season rolled into today and we've not been away for 3 months
Felt the togetherness once again between fans & players especially at the final whistle
#together all over again
Play like that every week and we'll get the 101 points I predicted

This all over.
I wasn't ready for the start of this season - it felt too quick and was waiting to see what hangover we had but I made a late decision to go & today gave me a good slap: these players are well up for it and I'm back on board.

Great to hear......shame our 23,000 STHs won't be able to get there on Friday.....

Just back from the game, a thoroughly good performance. The better team for 80 minutes (the exceptions being the first and last 5 minutes), Defence very solid but they were up against Darren Bent, midfield bossed it until Hughes came on for them, with Sidwell being the dominant force. Murray should have scored at least one but I never felt we would score which was my only worry.
