Burnley can afford to turn down £11.5 million as they have the money from the new TV deal. I doubt you could afford to turn down anything over £7-8 million for Dunk.

Why ? We have a rich owner who is happy to keep investing heavily in players, we still have the player on our books, he's still young, with assumption if we have another half decent season that his value will only go up further especially given the length left on his relatively fresh new contract.
If we have to sell (he wants to leave, we're happy with his replacements, we want to cash in) then yeah but club are giving no indication thats the case.
When it starts to get to silly money then who knows but club have had for last 18 months a relatively decent record of holding onto players.

You sold Ulloa for £8 million, what's the indication that your get more for Dunk? As a club you lose millions each year, when will Tony get fed up at having to come to the rescue? ???

Never.

As he himself has said on record many, many times.

You have no idea, but this season is the first time ever he has publically stated the club target is to finish in the top 2.

So a sale of the better players makes no sense this summer.

So why did you sell Ulloa then? If he's that prepared to stump up his own fortune, why did he take the cash for your top man?

Because Leo wanted to play in the Premier League, we got a Ten million pound deal for him, which, it has to be said, was a very good bit of business for us, as he wasn't worth that amount at the time.
It's a bit like when the Four Chairmen of the Apocalypse, sold Zaha to Untied for 12 mil, he wasn't worth that but he wanted Premier League football, the only difference is, Leo was a success at Leicester, and Zaha couldn't hack it at a big club.

Zaha never got a chance under Moyes. To be honest, who did well under him that year. Even Rooney was poor.

Dunk will want Prem football, no different to Ulloa.

He's not ready for England yet but he's still young. Deep down you know he's a quality player.

Deep down, I know he is vastly overrated by you lot, he has the odd good game, his final ball is usually shite, he must have been booked more times for diving than nearly any other player, he has got absolutely no chance of being in any England squad soon, unless the Black plague returns and wipes out a lot of English players. I saw his England debut, about as good as Geoff Thomas.

Ok mate. You'd hate him at Brighton then.

I always thought he had enough talent, but he's got an attitude problem.

Clyne, however, was excellent.
