That's some going SB.
banjo. It can be a bit funny. If you want to do what I've settled on: Download garmin express. Open a garmin account. When you get back from a ride, open garmin express first then open your garmin account before the strava one.

Thanks Moto, my cycling club meet up on Tuesday nights got tea and a get together. I'll ask one of the chaps to see where I'm going wrong. Happy new year matey.

Mine is a bit pitiful this year.
1350 miles
69 rides
61,325ft gained

Although, that is better than my shocking 943 miles in 2014, but short of the 1610 in 2013.

Nice stats Stat!

A new year and guess what...it's still bloody windy!

Is it just me or was 2015 an exceptionally windy year?

Happy new year!!

Within the first mile of my first ride of 2016, I was approaching a pedestrian crossing, on red.
The lights are just after an empty right turn lane, so it was basically 2 lanes for traffic.

First car stops.
I slow down.
Van overtakes me, so far so good.

The van driver then spears his van into the kerb, solely to block me off.
He was so close he couldn't even straighten the van up.

I was just able to go round him and wait driver side, allowing me to be in front of the van as the lights changed

He wasn't happy and we had a chat about it, involving some sign language :tosser:.

What a glorious start to the year.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Last year sucked for me, illness and injuries kept me off the bike for a lot of it.
I started 2016 positive, got my ass on the bike for a 38k ride with 321m elevation. Long way to go to reach my goal. Maybe an expensive set of wheels to motivate me are needed.
Safe riding all!

Rubbish 2015, blaming it firmly on young daughter and the temptation of getting up with her for breakfast then getting the train to work rather than hopping on my bike to commute.

85 rides
1,550 miles
27,920 ft climbing

Target for this year is;
2,400 miles
At least two 100+ mile rides

First day on the bike tomorrow!

Nope, dark grey and unmarked, c'est la vie.

I thought it was going to be 'one of those rides' as 5 miles in I realised I had left my drinks in the kitchen.
I bought a small bottle in Barnham and headed off knowing I was going to be in pain at the end.

Fortunately my luck changed as I accidentally detoured around the road I wanted, heading north.
By the time I'd looped round, I was riding to get back on course from the opposite direction, and I can only assume something biblical had fallen from the sky.

All the roads were rivers, all the drains overflowing, there was genuine (albeit little) waves coming down the entire road.
This went on for a good 3 or 4 miles, but other than a shower or two, there wasn't any more rain.
Had I gone the way I meant too, I'd be building a bike powered arc now.

Blimey, Stat, kudos for doing a long ride in...that. You targetting major mileage this year?
