Anyway, I think this one takes the biscuit.



This remains the best road rage video out there. Better than Ronnie Pickering, better than Range Rover nob. Pure bell-endery.


Magnificent dive face first into the pavement, and of course the immortal sentence driven by pure petty childish rage, "put your f*king mouth shut". Ruddy marvellous from the fat c**t there.

And yet the cyclist still comes out of it like a complete cock, he should have pulled across to the curb when he had the chance
.
I bloody hate the cameras, anyone would think they were an invincibility shield.

Isn't it strange how all of a sudden, How aggressive cyclists have become since they started wearing Helmet Cams!.
I guess people apologising to each other is asking too much!.

On a side note, Maybe issuing fixed penalties to cyclists not using Bike lanes where they are clearly provided!.
I.e Rottingdean to Saltdean!.

The cycle path near The Telscome Tavern and The Badgers Snatch is a shared path with pedestrians (for those that can understand the sign) however, cyclist get "tutted at" for using it (by the majority that don't understand the signs) so it's easier to use the road.

Indeed. And the road is perfectly wide enough for no cycle lane to be required (fortunately).

There are some utterly shit examples of cycle lanes in Sussex though.

Falmer to Woodingdean - Now looks like an eroded gulch from the Wild West. Impossible to cycle on with a road bike without getting a puncture. Also shared use.

Ringmer to Lewes - Nice idea, good surface. Full of dogs off their leads and pushchairs every time I've tried to use it. Will stick to the road (which ESCC have now chucked loose gravel all over making that dangerous too).

Berwick Station to A27 - This one is fine but a bit pointless as the road is wide and not very busy.

Brighton seafront - Fine, not shared use but completely unusable due to tourists.

A27 Lewes to Brighton - Surface is absolutely wrecked. Is absolutely terrifying if you go a decent speed as there are no barriers and if you hit a bump you could end up in a head on collision with a car doing 80mph+

Top of Ditchling Road - loose gravel = punctures.

Brighton to Pyecombe - Largely lost to vegetation

A27 east of Glynde - again terrifyingly close to oncoming traffic.

A LOT more money needs to be spent.

Am I missing something here? The cycle lane the driver keeps pointing at is on the other side of the road and therefore surely only for going in the complete opposite direction to that which the cyclist wants to go. Can someone enlighten me?

Simple, Cycle lanes are not like roads, Cycles are narrow, therefore do not need lanes markers!. Therfore they can travel in opposite directions in the same lane!.

Would you rather all of the people on bikes got back in their cars and further blocked up our already heavily congested roads? The fact is the roads in London and the south east are full. A car takes up the space of nine cyclists. Cycling needs to be encouraged for the benefit of everyone and it would be better for the economy and indeed the treasury to subsidise cycling rather than to tax it. Not to mention the tens of thousands of people per year who are dying due to pollution from traffic.

The vehicle excise duty which I pay is a tax on pollution. If it was used to fund decent cycle lanes I wouldn't have to drive the 12 miles to work each day, which I do because the roads are too dangerous to cycle on.

Seriously...The only thing I took from this video apart from the fact they both need a little more sleep (who isn't a little crabby when they don't get enough sleep) is that the "offending" cyclist couldn't be arsed to check over his shoulder when over taking another bike at the beginning of the film. If he'd done that in front of me I might have got a little annoyed (but then I get enough sleep).

Standards in this area are ridiculously low, and for some reason the government refuses to publish national standards that must be adhered to. As a result you get monstrosities such as the Northgate gyratory in Chichester .
