I would expect much more from a serviceman of the Grenadier Guards.

This is a terrible tragedy for the families and friends of all concerned, and each new piece of information being released is numbing.
No one will come out of this well if the thread is used to settle old scores or used for oneupmanship purposes. There's a time and a place for a binfest, and this is neither.
Anyone picking fights or being ungracious will be banned from the thread without warning.

Revolting that the usual suspects are trying to binfest this thread. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. More are expected to be pronounced dead today. Families are on tenterhooks or grieving inconsolably and some on here decide to stir the pot. If I was a mod I'd have banned certain of you many months ago. I certainly would now.

Bless all of you on NSC, I have just received wonderful news, my brother is fine. Without letting anyone know he changed his mind about the airshow and instead visited Salisbury. His home phone had broken and he forgot to take his mobile. His friend travelled to visit family in Scotland.
I am acutely aware of the power, mostly good, of NSC and it's brotherhood of wonderful people who offer such help and kindness when it's needed. I'm lucky, sadly so many are not and my heart goes out to them, I know from held back tears how you feel.

Most of us are local, driven on that road and stopped at those traffic lights. On a different day could of been anyone of us or someone we know. Very sobering thought.

Daniele Polito, of Worthing, was travelling home from work with Matt Jones, the personal trainer who tragically died in the crash, reported the The Argus. He has not been seen since.
His sister Marina appealed for information about what had happened to the former Worthing College student, but has urged friends not to jump to the conclusion that he had died before anything was known for certain.
His mother-in-law Ruth Cox said on Facebook: “Daniele Polito is still missing. He was with Matt Jones on their way back from work when the plane crashed, he is my grandson’s dad.”
