I did tweet gus to let him know I was booing the ref and not the sensitive palyers! I mean why do they think the fans were booing them?

Because they were - the boos were immediate at the whistle and not directed at the ref as he walked off the pitch - IMO. Hope he appreciated your tweet cos he didnt like your boos....

The thing that really seems to have got Gus' back up is the sarcastic cheer that Gonzales got from the North Stand after making a save. In that respect I totally agree with Gus. You've got a keeper on debut and his own fans are taking the piss out of him. How exactly is that going to help his confidence?

i don't agree with jeering the keeper or booing the team, but if this is the case i think that Gus sarcasticaly clapping the ref when he makes a decision is 10 times worse.

One rule for Gus and one for the fans perhaps?

I would have taken a gamble with the starting 11 that played Reading 72 hours earlier - call me old fashioned......

Sounds good to me but probably too logical for Gus.

Not the real one
Gus is just Gus, he is passionate and speaks his mind. I do think if he wants to be successful he needs to get real a bit more. He should realise that no matter what club he is at if you conceded 8 goals in 2 games with no reply, you're gonna get a few idiots jeering. Does he think his beloved Leeds United would treat his team any better?
I love Gus, as long as a team are giving 100% I would never boo but Gus needs to turn it around into a positive and realise how much the fans here want success. Sometimes the Amex crowd gives its all in certain games, even when we are staring defeat in the eyes ( Burnley ).
So Gus needs to get real and turn this negative into positive.

Sports sports sports!
I thought the boos were more aimed at the Referee for not sending off Eustace. Also I don't agree with the booing the team, as I sat through West Ham and still applauded the team off the field, but surely Gus Poyet needs to look at his own conduct (Burnley away where he walked off) before he starts having a go at the fans?

SHOREHAM BY SEA
To be fair lamie anyone on here could have picked a better team against the hammers - FACT

lol...beg to differ...although i would admit to being a little surprised about a couple of players....i would suggest that whatever team we put out on saturday,,,they wouldn't have coped with west ham on that particular day

he rarely says anything positive about us anyway

I'm sorry but that's utter bullshit. There's been countless post-match iterviews where Gus has praised the Amex/away crowd and said how the atmosphere has made a huge difference to the players. He's generally quite complimentary about us when we deserve it, so I think he has every right to have a go at supporters who are being twats. Booing is one thing, but jeering at your own player who is making his debut for the club is disgusting and I think it's understandable that Gus was pissed off.

You are probably correct but i was surprized he decided to play "Poyets Pygmies" against a side of giants.

Gus is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve. You have to take him warts an' all, he is an emotional man who takes criticism to heart. That may well mean that ultimately, he's not cut out for the pressures and scrutiny of top flight management.

However, he is also the man who has masterminded our resurrection from the arse end of L1 to the fringes of the Championship playoffs in a little over 2 years, and has attracted some frankly FANTASTIC talent to this club. This season has, for the most part, been a joy. The quality of entertainment on offer at the Amex week in, week out has been utterly superb this season.

Anyone who wants to abandon this project off the back of a less than barnstorming finish to the season can f*** the f*** off as far as I'm concerned. They don't DESERVE to be in that stadium watching that football if they're going to whine like little BITCHES when we dare to not win a game. Tosspots.

very much so, this.

..eh,,how do u draw that conclusion ...would u then say if it wasn't for the fans that don't moan we wouldn't have the amex?

Vokes has hardly set the world on fire..not sure he would with 4 wingers

i think he summed up the positive and negative beautifully

Hardly...opinion...isent fact

will u be starting one of yur polls again? :)

Please. Just shut the f*** up you dull, tiresome bore. You are the most one-eyed happy clappy sycophantic numpty on here. I can't be the only person pissed off reading your constant haranging of anyone who doesn't agree that all is well, and that anyone daring to criticising Gus or any of our players is somehow disloyal.

If you don't like people expressing opinions, then get the f*** off this site.

It's not utter bullshit ... you may not agree with me that's fine but it's not BS. It's a genuine belief as I'm sure your statement is and I respect your view, just don't agree with it.
