Worthing
Oh and another thing that swings the PS4 for me is the current 'Playstation Plus' offering. 40 quid a year and you get 3 full games to download every month. Battlefield 3 last month

The two systems are broadly equivalent apart from the PS4 using GDDR5 RAM which has higher bandwith while the XBONE using DDR3 which is lower latency.

and the PS4 having 1152 shaders to the Xbox one's 768. thats a massive difference to overlook in device targeting graphics, especially when everything else is so similar. (lower latency of DDR3 is near meaningless for graphics too)

I said the ps4 has a more powerful GPU about 20 words later....You overlook everything the xbone does better than the ps4 and exaggerate everything the ps4 does better :D

Playstation also said you have to have playstation plus to be able to transfer over trophies - and are giving out a month free of playstation plus if you buy a ps4, so you can transfer your trophies over, and try out the service

Will get my PS4 pre-order in tonight i think - assume amazon isthe place to go....although i've been so happy with 365games service id really like them to get my business - whether they can delivery it on the day however......

I've had every Playstation up till now, previously because of their exclusive games, but going on what's been announced at E3 over the last few hours, there will be a LOT of previous Xbox fans switching allegiances. Microsoft have completely shot themselves in the foot with their new hardware, in several areas. I'd also be amazed if they didn't rethink and change some elements, otherwise they are in danger of being completely outsold.

Serves them right. We didn't have a choice years ago, it was Microsoft or nothing. Now we have plenty of choice on phones, tablets, desktops and good job too. People who move away from Microsoft products don't really come back unless they a forced too for work reasons.

Seeing as people on here seem to know these things and elsewhere on the internet seems to fail me - will either of these consoles be compatible with home cinema/soundbars?

I was going to buy a decent blu-ray player and soundbar (also for watching tv through sky box), but am now thinking that buying the new Xbox could make a blu-ray player completely pointless. However, I'd want to be able to connect a soundbar to it, one that would still work with other devices. Any techies in the know? Cheers.

You probably won't get a PS4 for launch day now.. Sony are restricting the supply of consoles to the EU, suspect there will be a lot on ebay for vastly inflated prices

I'm going to leave it until the new year.. quite happy with my PC at the moment & there's nothing coming out that interests me on either console

I have to say that whilst immediately after E3 I would have suggested that anyone buying an xbone was slightly wrong in the head, Micro$oft have worked bloody hard to turn that around and the xbone is a seriously better package than it was, more in the box, more freedom and choice in how you use the console, its a much tighter race than it was.

yes i do overlook the one thing Xbox does better, a NSA camera... i mean Kinect, if thats important to you. i fail to see any exaggeration of the superior GPU hardware of the PS4, thats simple matter of fact.

Xbox for me. Just renewed my Xbox Live account for 12 months, and the lure of a free copy of FIFA 14 more than softens the blow of the higher price tag. There isn't a single game which is unique to the Playstation which I would actually want to own, whereas Xbox has always offered a better all round game experience for me.

Decent u bundle has been confirmed and more to come tomorrow!

Sony will release the eye-catching PlayStation 4 bundle leaked on Amazon last month in the UK, Eurogamer can exclusively reveal.

In August Amazon France listed a PS4 bundle that includes a number of extra items for the same price as Xbox One in Europe.

The bundle costs €499 - the same as Microsoft's European Xbox One price - which translates to around £427. In the UK the Xbox One costs £429.

Included in the box is a copy of PS4-exclusive launch title Killzone Shadow Fall, two DualShock 4 controllers and the PlayStation Camera. Internally Sony calls this the "mega bundle".

That's compared to Microsoft's offering, which includes FIFA 14 when you pre-order the bundle, Kinect and an Xbox One controller.

Bought separately, the bundle's contents would cost £503 when purchased together from Amazon at time of publication (£349 for the PS4 console, £55 for the PlayStation Camera, £54 for a second DualShock 4 and £45 for Killzone: Shadow Fall). That's roughly a £70 saving.

"I can officially confirm that the answer is yes [Sony will bring the bundle to the UK]," Sony UK boss Fergal Gara told Eurogamer today at the Eurogamer Expo.

"It'll be similarly benchmarked in euro equivalent. PlayStation 4 is £349 and €399, so it will be the same equivalent.

"It will be no more than a tenner either way [of the Xbox One £429 UK price] depending on what conversation rate we use on the given day."

Sony will announce several new PS4 bundles tomorrow, Eurogamer understands. The company has told UK retailers to alert those who have pre-ordered PS4 that they now have the option to upgrade to one of these.

"It [the mega bundle] is in limited volume, and therefore it is probably going to go mainly to current pre-order customers, then follow-up volume may well be post-Christmas," Gara added.

"But there are other bundles that also represent incredibly good value. It's not just about having a good base price. We want to offer value in every way we can.

"Starting yesterday, our retail partners are contacting their pre-order customers in order, so starting with the first, working up to when they run out of that special bundle, saying, we now have clarity on exactly what PlayStation 4 bundles we have to offer for day one. Would you like option A, B, C or D?

"Everybody who has pre-ordered in the expectation they're getting just the PS4, including the DualShock 4 and the headset - the basic configuration. But as we've worked through the details and worked through the options we've come up with some great bundle offers. And it is only fair the first people in the queue get first chance to get that.

"It's a brilliant thing to do for the gamer. In theory there could be some free on day one, but I think it's unlikely, because the people in that queue are going to say yes please."

Very underwhelming bundle to be honest, still sticking with my pre-order of Xbox One.

Neither, I have outdoor pursuits and indoors play musical instruments etc.
I don't succumb to childish endeavours and things with no end product for the effort put in.
My children however are chained to the god damned things, I hope they discover real life experiences before it's too late.

Presumably you don't watch films and TV shows or read books either?

Chuck in 2 games and 2 controllers and lose the camera and I'll upgrade, I'm still on the fence about all the launch games.

Burnt out on Assassin's Creed.

Watch Dogs looks like it just another Ubisoft open world game ie. a modern Assessin's Creed.

Knack looks like a prime candidate to be free on PSN within a month of release.

Call of Duty...meh.

Driveclub looks interesting but part of it comes free anyway, I may check that out but wish it was a new Gran Turismo.

Killzone looks great but derirative FPS games really don't hold my interest.

I would prefer to support a new IP and get Watch Dogs but going to wait for some reviews first. It may be that I just buy a few interesting indie games on launch day.

What will everyone else be getting?

Agreed, I don't want the camera so waiting to see what they announce today I'd prefer an extra game to the camera as I'll never use it EVER
