i'm hearing good things about chamberlain over the last two games

remember him being highly rated at youth level, could this be his time to step up?

Useless. Didn't miss as many sitters as Gatts but going missing against Worthing isn't a great sign is it? Nothing to change the view that he is the Doug Loft of strikers. Robinson was better than both in the short time he was up front.

Mayo played well - and looked very svelte. Worth something as a squad player imo, looked better than Haswell anyways.

worthing hit the post.....

No Murray hit the post, Worthing never even had a shot on target that I recall.

McLeod/Macleod (?) looked excellent on the left wing in the 1st half and Hawkins seems to be a good tough old fashioned centre half. Sullivan played the 2nd half and I don't think he stopped shouting, talking and cajoling the whole time, actually got to be quite annoying as I was trying to have a conversation with someone :jester:

All in all quite an entertaining afternoon but the 1st half team looked much better than the 2nd. I missed the 1st and 4th goals but Murray's was a classy strike and Chamberlain's was a wicked deflection that was going well wide before it hit a Worthing defender and deflected into the net.

El Abd played 1st half at right back and 2nd in midfield and looked solid in both positions. The 1st half defence was only troubled once when the Wimbledon LB misplaced a pass into the middle of the park straight to a Worthing player.Apart from that the Wimbledon guy looked OK. He was put into midfield 2nd half to accommodate Kerry, who had a pretty solid half, but the Wimbledon guy was pretty anonymous in midfield.

Robinson, Gatting and Dixon were all pretty average imo and overall I wasn't that impressed by Chamberlain either.

Nope, but they did hit the post! Not long before the second goal. That was their only shot that I can recall.

Missed the 1st and last goals and the ball off the woodwork - do pay a bit more attention;)

Can't argue with that! I did notice that Fraser had a pretty good half though and I'd be quite happy with Kerry as a back up LB but no way do I want him to be 1st choice.

the problem with mayo is that he's in a position where most of the time he'll be against players with pace, which he'll always stuggle against

Mayo's lofted balls down the line/into touch have been winding me up for 10 years. Had an OK game today but surely not worthy of a new contract?
