Wilkins Out

Look, Dick has already stated that we're a 'Community Club' - so just call out the names 15 mins before kickoff and decide by who gets the loudest cheers (or the softest boos). That will not only ensure that fans are encouraged to arrive early but also take the team selection headache away from Wilkins.

Can we get Endemol or Sky involved? There is brilliant reality TV here just waiting to happen, come on, we need something after Big Ron Manager is finished :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

So you've written him off already?

Let me just say I am yet to be convinced and the last appointment from the youth set up to 1st team was an unmigated disaster.

What frustrates me is we had a perfectly good manager in the first place.

And you are surprised? He will be GOING LARGE again after we beat Orient 4-0.
I will be GOING MEDIUM all season. Hope that's OK with everyone.

Maybe...your missus will be a lucky charm for us Saturday, hope so.

Can I just ask, if a player is gash can people say he is gash? Also if a player is good are people allowed to say he is good?

Perhaps it would just be nice if people were a bit more constructive with their posts.
OK, I guess the 'Stokes is GASH' comment can be laid fairly and squarely at my door, being as I've said as much a few times on here now. Leaving aside his stamina problems, I think for the most part this season he has been lightweight, his passing has been poor, he has not adequately supported the forwards, he has provided zero goal threat, and whilst he might have a few nice touches on the ball, his turns, tricks and flicks are largely ineffectual and come to nothing. Thats not always his fault, as he is playing in a pretty poor side. But another Joe Cole wanabee youth team player learning his trade (abeit from another club) is NOT what we need right now in our midfield, and I for one was pleased that Wilkins omitted him from the squad. I trust this will hasten his return to the Boleyn Ground.

Do you know what Easy, I don't think he is gash but I would say your assessment is pretty much spot on. While I do think he does create the odd decent opening he has been largely ineffectual and has only contributed to the lightweight nature of our midfield.

I think you have to be in before you can be out and there is not a cats chance in hell that Dean and Dean will ever be at Withdean as managers so I am not even going to waste my time organising a MASSIVE protest for Saturday as not even the potless pillock can be so stupid to give the managers job to some youth team coach who couldn't even run a county league club

If you took a straw poll in the ground last I night (even after the game) I suspect you would have a very convincing majority believing that he had to go.

In the two games since the sacking I have not spoken to one single individual who feels the way you do gubbs.

I may have missed it but I didn't notice - LI's lone campaign aside - too many voices leaping to his defence after the Crewe and Bristol games, the last straws for many, including me.

But surely that is enough to show that everybody else was wrong? All joking aside I actually agree with LI to a certain extent and think MM deserved a bit longer, although I think no more than a couple of games.

He won the pen against Gillingham. As far as I can see, that has been his sole contribution this season. Unless someone can enlighten me as to a direct assist he has provided for one of our goals, or a crucial goal-saving tackle he's put in, then I'm afraid I am struggling to acknowledge his existance on a football field. He's like Doug Loft, but with jellied eels in his kitbag.

No doubt someone who watches the game on a higher tactical level than myself (naming no names) will soon point out the crucial role that Stokes has so far played, and say something like "its no so much what he does, its what he doesn't do that is so important", and we'll all smile enigmatically and think "oh yeah - he's right !". But going by Deano's team selection for his first two squads (ie Stokes's complete ommision), I'm kind of hoping Deano is seeing it my way on this.

I have to agree that only thing I have seen him do was win the pen against Gillingham. I think you may be right, it is the space between the words that is important.

She has been to (I think) 3 games at the Withers, the first 2 convincing wins, the last was against Ipswich when we stayed up so the signs are pretty good. Actually, now that I think about it, her last 2 away games were the wins at Selhurst and Rotherham. I'M GOING LARGE ON A CONVINCING ALBION VICTORY THIS SATURDAY.

Well I thought he did well in the first two games, passed the ball well and showed a lot of energy for somene with apparent stamina problems. But since Brentford he's been anonymous.

How can anyone be expected to judge Deano yet? He only has a bunch of players that Magoo did not piss-off to work with? Less Hendo who he has now pissed-off! :nono:
