I thought we should have won

I thought El Abd made a mistake, or two but so have I this week and yes pepople have paid me to do a job, but thats life.

I thought the team played their socks off and gave me good value for money

I thought robinson was flagging 5-10 mins before the goal after playing his socks off.

I thought Wilkins should have subbed then but didn't.

I thought I was getting far better value for money for my ST than last year

I think the whiners on here should exercise their right to go and see faultless football but where that is god only knows

I think the team are trying hard this season

I thought the boo's that rang up at the final whistle were totally out of order and seemed to upset Hammond

I think we should all stop knocking the players as we are also part of the team, even though I'm not good at the singing.

Pretty much agree with all of that, except the El Abd point. I thought he was awful today, and hope to seem him dropped ASAP. People talk about the 4 clean sheets in a row, which he was part of and deserves due credit for, but that doesn't excuse his performance today for me.

I didn't hear any boos myself, but shame on anyone who did it. The team in general gave too much effort to get that treatment. Of course, the boos may have been aimed at Wise/Leeds/the ref, in which case I can understand them to a degree.

I think I have finished thank you for listening

I think I agree with you:thumbsup:

That's EXACTLY my point. For 90% of the game, El Abd looks absolutely fine. The problem is he ALWAYS makes mistakes, and they're always costly ones that lead to clear cut chances.

Er....perhaps because he is THE LAST LINE of defence, and one slip from AeA will definitely let the attacker in....after the ball has already passed the REST of the midfield and other defenders, of course.

It's ok having a hit-and-miss winger or striker, because if they mess up nine times they will still score the other one, but there is simply no place for a defender that makes as many schoolboy errors as El Abd.

If a striker messes up NINE TIMES??
So that's okay for a striker to do as long as HE scores ONCE?

A defender messes up ONCE and saves the team NINE TIMES.....and HE is the GOAT!

get a clue some of you - the one mistake after saving us LOADS of times today, is all you want to talk about.

How about the SMALL FACT that NONE of our strikers scored a single goal??
Is THAT why we LOST the game ???

get a clue will yers?

Well done to the lads , even with the odd cock up , we can still pick up those points which will lead us to the play-offs. Lets face it Leeds and Forest are the only two sides that can compare to us in this league as the vast majority are mediocre outfits. We can still play shit and pick up 3 points. Today is history , now we move onto the next fixture.

At what point in the game did El Abd 'save' us?

And who booed The Albion at the final whistle?
Was it the newer fans, the ones who might only go to see us play because they see it's a big game?

No. It's those 'til I die' sorts who think they are the special fans, the great connoissuers of Albion football, under whose eagle-eyes there must be no slips or mistakes.

I wasn't at the game but booing the team because we lost 1-0 at home to the best team in the division? Most of us on NSC have had to endure worse scorelines than that and still applauded the team at the end of the game. If the performance was shite then fair enough but by the sounds of it, the boys dun' good.
There is absolutely no disgrace losing to Leeds 1-0. Now if we had lost 9-0 at home to Cheltenham then fair game.....but come on, some fans need to get realistic and get behind the team.

The booing could have been aimed at the "cheats" and Dennis Shortarse as they have been lucky again.

I think the few people booing that I heard were definitely aiming them at that piece of shit named Denis Wise and the bunch of cheats and whingers who play for him.
While we,re on the subject of cheering/booing......who else thought the Leeds fans were very very quiet all game until they scored.....? Mind you, if I supported a team, who,s only present claim to fame is that they support a club, surrounded by the stench of cheating and corruption, I,d find it difficult to be vocal in their support too.

The only booing etc I heard on my way out was for Leeds when they went into a huddle in the middle of the pitch. Certainly nothing was aimed at our players.

Aimed at that twat of a referee who cheated us out of a clear cut goal scoring opportunity.

Everybody, and I mean everybody around me in D,E and F blocks were applauding the Albion off the pitch...more than I've heard in years following a defeat.

You not being at the game is the key point here - they were far from the best in the league on the basis of their performance today. They were appaling. One player tried a backpass from the half way line and ended up giving us a throw deep inside their half.

Nobody booed either - certainly not audible from the North East stand anyway.

It still doesn't prevent them from being the best team (currently) in the division though.

We did well realy, we just never seem to get any luck.

I only listened on SW but John Byrne said just after the goal that we hadn't carved out one goal scoring opportunity in the whole game. Sounded like only good ontarget shots we had were long distance, is that true? If so you can't blame luck?

Sounds like we played well apart from that and the gift of a goal.
