Loved those information films-spent a few hours a year or so ago showing my daughters (11, 13)-they thought I was bonkers and couldn't understand the point of them!

10 subbeteo

The Red Hand Gang was amazing. Not just the theme tune, the whole soundtrack. Thirty odd years later and I still hum what the cool kid used to play on his kazoo thing. Your comment made me look it up on you tube and he plays it in this clip. Warning this clip is Intense.

There's a book called "21st Century Dodos" which laments, in a humorous way, the loss of some of the stuff listed here and plenty else that might bring back a few memories.

Well worth a read.

Funny how the design was heavily influenced by the the old Viaduct & i believe the clock(not in sight on either picture) from the old building in the top picture,is now on the front of Sainsburys

Cigarette adverts was a good call-Tit bit's and Parade,pervert!!

Although this bit though reminded me of being at Downs Infants school Ditching road-

We had a similar thing going on.....when we came out at home time,me and some mates came skipping along, and i was what 5 or 6,and we would all shout to all the parents,at the top of our voices-guess what we had today for dinner? shit and bogey pie!!! :lolol:

I know we only boys being boys, but it's funny how certain events stick in your mind, for life.
