Palace away when the Murray secondary dive for the pen put them 3 up (Im not complaining he did it for us)

That Palace game for me too. Remains the only Albion game I've ever left early.

Not because of the shambolic performance (hey, I've been watching the Albion since 1986: if I was going to walk out every time we played like crap, I reckon I'd have only seen about half of the game time since then), just because it was a dead match, the result was a foregone conclusion, and I really couldn't be arsed to stand around, freezing and grumpy, in a Metropolitan Police cordon for however long they decided was acceptable, post-match.

Bozza & I left Selhurst with about ten or fifteen minutes to go in an attempt to escape. Seemingly to no avail, as their massive cordon was already in place at both ends of Whitehorse Lane. Fortunately, some kind hearted officer recognised me and let us sneak through the otherwise solid blue line, whereby we were able to make a swift exit and leg it back to up to proper London and civilisation. And drown our sorrows.

I went to one game at Selhurst with my mentally handicapped brother in law to be met by a cordon and after explaining the situation to the thing on horseback he told us to crawl under the horse which we did.

Slightly OT my sons best man is in the MET and on Sunday he went to my sons and was watching the match with us and in passing said about the grounds in London and said that when attending a game at The Emirates they cannot watch the game only on CCTV as they are kept in a room as Arsenal do not want their presence to be seen in the ground.

In 1983 for the replay (I'd been on the Saturday but watched this on the telly) - I went upstairs at half time for a bath too upset to return.

Port Vale away in 2006. Left after about 25 minutes, they got a penalty to go 2 up, the referee was some what of a homer, it was cold and the Bulls Head pub seemed a better option.

Also Plymouth away in 2005, 36 minutes David Norris scored their fourth and the pub beckoned. Do not really remember the journey home that day.
It was 5 1 when we left that day and you took us to that colourful pub with lots of nice characters.

Went to see Stoke play at Oxford one year with some Stoke Supporting mates ,arrived in Oxford at 11 found a decent pub . Then met up with a minibus full of loons they Knew and went on a crawl. Arrived at The Manor Ground to find Stoke 4 1 down after 41 mins. A quick 5th followed at 4 01 and out we went a grand total of 21 Mins in the Ground.

The very same game.

The James Street Vaults, just up from Plymouth Station.

Never been so glad to have recognised a couple of them from an England game, otherwise we would probably have exited the pub via a closed window!!!

And i had to knock someones pint over :tumble::tumble:

Neither here nor there
Earliest for me was after Murray's third, into injury time as I recall and after most people around me had already buggered off.

Other than that I've never left before the whistle, not because I'm a superfan, but because I want to see the game I paid for. All of it.

Elm Park.

I don't know when but all Radio 1 would play, on the way up, was Mr Wendal by Arrested Development.

The game was so poor, we weren't even in Berkshire for the final whistle.

Anyone who stayed till the end, for purely footballing reasons, gets my up most respect.
But you're clearly so unhinged I never, EVER, want to speak to you.

Think it was away to Watford in season 1968/69; my girlfriend was ill.
About half-time I think.

Voluntary - Walkout protest against Hereford

Involuntary - Escorted out by the Police mid way through second half for being 'too vociferous' in my opinions in the shortcomings of the ref.

Left the Sudbury town game after the final whistle completely forgetting it was a replay. Got home and it was in a Penalty shoot out.

Probably one of the most stupid things I've ever done.

I was joking! Though I've only left three other games early: Lincoln away in the FA Cup when we were 4-0 down with about 5 minutes left and I wouldve had to wait an extra hour at the station. A league game at Luton where our fans were being utter dicks. And the first time we played at St Marys when a neanderthal steward threw me out.
utter dicks at Luton , PLEASE EXPLAIN ???
