It's an attitude that sits hard with me. For most of my 20s, I was pretty miserable. I was single for pretty much most of it and, after leaving university, I spent the next few years in boring, badly paid jobs or unemployed. My teenage years were even more miserable, by my 20th birthday I was taking a variety of drugs to battle depression and while my months before going to uni were pretty good and college years were OK, it took nearly five years for me.
As people have indicated on this thread, many people in their 20s were having a whale of a time, which made things worse for me. It's not their fault, of course, but I think it does indicate that different people have very different experiences in life.
