It isn't all general sale. Most of yesterday would have been season ticket holders due to where they split it. From my seat in the south, I don't think the north was at its best, but it wasn't bad. I only hear the West stand when it really gets going from my seat in the south and that isn't very often. The South West corner was quite good yesterday though.

Ah ok, wasn't sure how far along the ST's went. Yea the North stand was shocking, every song that got started got sped up x2 by people in the middle.

I hope that over the next few seasons especially when the hype dies down more of the singers will move together. At the moment it's way to spread out.

Definitely. At the moment in the South the is quite a lot of people who want to sing, but when you are surrounded by people who don't care for it then it is really hard to get something going.

One good thing from last night would be the death of the cringeworthy ego trip that is "Go left, Go left..." ...

sounded more like a Girl Guides outing than ever and surely can't be repeated.

That was always an embarrassing 'song', even when Wardy was bamboozling defenders.
Not a song for men to be heard singing.

Well the East Anglian Daily Times thinks we are quite loud. I quote -
" In front of a vociferous home support, Jewell probably sent his side out telling them to keep it tight in the opening stages of the second half."

I have been unable to hear the North Stand for a few games now.

But then I do have headphones in most of the time.

Still a shocking show from them lot in the North tho'.

Listening to the radio last night I thought the vocal support was dismal from all 4 stands and fans need to hang their heads in shame. The away support at Derby on Saturday will show everyone what it's supposed to be like.

to summarise:

The acoustics in the stand you are in are world class.
From outside of that stand you cant hear a thing. I am a NS chap and its sounds loud from within, I sat in the ES last season and could not hear the North at all, but could see they were singing as you can see the hands. Last Night, I could see the West Stand hands going, but it was like they were miming as no sound at all, same with the Ipswich fans last night, could tell they were singing, but again, might have been miming.

I think thats about it.

A couple of thirty year old waxworks have followed us up to East Upper from West Lower, they will need a fecking cattle prod for them to make a murmer. Last year against Reading they spent the entire match discussing the merits of taking a Greyhound bus around LA and looking at their phones---and that was at one of the more exciting games.Away games are so much better where everyone is 'up' for it. It is very hard to sing unless your standing. If our band of six stand we just get stares from moms/dads/kids/oap's.
A lot of people around us do not have any opinions on the ref/linesman/players/subs/Gus and just fecking sit there like fish on a slab-----why BOTHER!!!

I'm in the North stand and thought we didn't sing as loud as we can do. But to the West stand you cannot say we couldn't hear anything from the north, we start the majority of the songs and more people in terms of percentage sing in the north compared to east south and west.

It is definetly being discussed even at this early stage of the season for next season . Sick to death of pricks moaning that you are actually singing at a football match. You never know being nearer the away support could really get things going ....The south will rise again ?????

Towards the back and middle of the North, we tried to get it going but there was not enough from others around us, The Judge next to me really does try but some people just aren't interested in getting behind us while we are losing, which is when the team need us most. It even ended in our own fans arguing amongst each other about who was singing and who was not, and then some kiddy threatened to slit someone's throat ???

One of the more strange evenings at the AMEX I must say

what does he try to start though - That "left go left" song, "everywhere we go" etc that are generally bollocks

Yea, I've thought about getting a few people to move to the South stand. One of the issues is whether the club would have a problem with us standing
