Sorry I missed that. Still does not do any harm to refresh and get new opinions.

Huh! I have to say I think its a bit weird that people think Sexy Beast and Blair Witch were weird. The former is a pretty straightforward excellent gangster movie in which Ben Kingsley is superb whilst the latter is perhaps only different in its cinematic style with divides opinion greatly.

For the best ' what the giddy feck' was that all about I would like to nominate ' Jacobs Ladder' starring Tim Robbins. Even the Wikepedia plot summary was tricky:(

The one's that seem to have all the notoriety are

Cannibal Holocaust
A Serbian Film
Salo

Not seen any and no intention too as they from what I have read are pushing " art " into an unacceptable level.

No intention of seeing Human Centipede or any of those Hostel type films. Torture Porn I think is the term and its a complete turn off.

great movie but the 'giddy feck' effect only really applies to the first viewing, wouldn't you agree? once you find out "when" and "where" he is, it all makes sense. kind of.

Sexy Beast is too mainstream for me. Blair Witch, tame but a decent idea not very well executed apart from the final scene as I said.

Sorry, US, wasn't particularly having a pop at you. Honourable mention should also go to that stop motion versionof 'Alice in Wonderland' by a Polish(?) director. Although if we're going to include anime as well then the list would probably get much, much longer....

No worries, just looking for some challenging films I may have not seen.

Im going to take a look now. I like strange.

DON'T DO IT. I like weird and challenging films but the concept is just too f***ed up imo. Strangely though in my local dvd store both parts 1 and 2 are almost always hired out. Sick FUCKS out there !

Funny games - found it very disturbing , horrible & uncomfortable film to watch

Nor seen the original but the remake was crap with Jedward on acid.
