On a serious (and sad) note, I heard last week that one guy who was part of a consortium who tried to buy the club a few years ago and who were now supposed to be looking to invest, passed away at a very young age. (In his 40's)

The bid they made to take over the club was derisory (Something like £1-2m for complete control I believe) but whether they will still invest when one of their number has died, I don't know.

Perhaps Dick Knight is a Soviet mole and this is something that has been planned all along (he does have a cossack beard after all), the KGB have infiltrated the ODPM and had an influence over the planning application, the new stadium will be called the Pravda Smirnoff Ground and the players will be fortified with shots of vodka before each game.

Why do you think Johnny P was there last night? It's obvious that he's sorting out his job after the next election when he'll be offical vodka and meat pie taster for our new owner - Vladimir Putin (who's the 'mystery' Russian and who will also be looking for a new job soon).
