The players and their families doing a circuit, and the sight of a five-year-old scoring a goal in front of the north stand, was great and introduced a bit of humanity to the game.

No they don’t, they are given the route and that’s it. If something happens en route, road closure RTC etc they’ll be radioed through with alternative instructions, but until that happens….

Think I might join the ‘boycott’ for the Liverpool game.

No reason for it to be on TV on a Monday night and I can’t be arsed with the transport congestion for an 8pm kick off on a school night.

Especially seeing as it will more than likely be a dead rubber...

Having said that, without TV we'd really struggle to compete at all. We can't have it both ways, so whether a like it or not, we will continue to be slaves to TV scheduling.

Unfortunately imho the club have been turning a blind eye to the declining travel operation for a while, playing the "it's out of our control" for so long, and it's caught up with them. Lots of fans are now at the stage where they can't be arsed to put up with it anymore unless it's a huge game.

It's a real shame that the clubs only real answer to it is to try to force fans to come to games or sell their tickets back.

Any request for a Liverpool player's shirt from the home end should result in an instant season ticket suspension for the child and irresponsible adult. Even more so for the adult as they are probably looking to flog it to some scally on eBay!

You have made the assumption there that Sky arrange their matches with the football supporters inside the stadium in mind. Not a chance! it’s for the TV audiences. I assume less people go out on a Monday rather than a Friday.

Even the one 'free transfer' per season to any fan, isn't to any fan.
That fan has to buy Albion+ membership.

We played (and beat) Chelsea on a Friday night ... Valentines ... which was also met with disapproval on here by some. Plus Championship games are frequently shown on Sky on Fridays.

No chance it'll be that low. We have a drip drip effect with lowering crowds but no way that many people won't show up.

I’ve managed to find someone who wanted my tickets, and can actually get to the game so at least my seats won’t be empty. No chance I’d be able to get there in time for KO after leaving work, going home, picking up the missus and then spending and hour and a half in the traffic as we have for the last couple of games.

My seats have only been empty once ever, and that was because some scalper bought my tickets on the exchange (Spurs last season) and sold them on. The club cancelled the tickets but I still got paid.

Sadly at the moment the club won’t release our tickets into the exchange so I just end up giving them away.
Those roadworks are an absolute shambles.
