Sky should scrap Monday night football and move it to a Friday night. Most people don’t mind the hassle of a late night at the end of the working week, rather than at the start of one.
The club could have done it yesterday. Not rocket scienceAnd how many players are going to want to bring their three-year-old kids onto the pitch at ten in the evening? It’s such a shame. The players and their families doing a circuit, and the sight of a five-year-old scoring a goal in front of the north stand, was great and introduced a bit of humanity to the game.
exactly its not like they are driving a small van.......No they don’t, they are given the route and that’s it. If something happens en route, road closure RTC etc they’ll be radioed through with alternative instructions, but until that happens….
Especially seeing as it will more than likely be a dead rubber...Think I might join the ‘boycott’ for the Liverpool game.
No reason for it to be on TV on a Monday night and I can’t be arsed with the transport congestion for an 8pm kick off on a school night.
I've heard there won't be a post match players parade round the pitch. Suspect the club are cognisant of the lens of it being done in any empty stadium
I’m anticipating at least one of these from a home stand ‘fan’….They’d boost the numbers staying if the clubs agreed a joint Albion & Liverpool lap of honour.
Spot on. That's always fun to watch. Sky have really pissed on our chips with this oneAnd how many players are going to want to bring their three-year-old kids onto the pitch at ten in the evening? Any request for a Liverpool player's shirt from the home end should result in an instant season ticket suspension for the child and irresponsible adult. Even more so for the adult as they are probably looking to flog it to some scally on eBay!I’m anticipating at least one of these from a home stand ‘fan’….
This. It’s absolute stupidity. The club just look like total mugs on the tele with thousands of empty seats and missed opportunity to sell food, drink and merch which a one off fan is more likely to buy. Also misses the opportunity for new people to get the bug for it and potentially look to become a STHI think people were quite comfortable giving their season tickets to friends and family to use and this has changed over the last few seasons.
Here we go ………… yet againThis. It’s absolute stupidity. You have made the assumption there that Sky arrange their matches with the football supporters inside the stadium in mind. Not a chance! it’s for the TV audiences. I assume less people go out on a Monday rather than a Friday.Sky should scrap Monday night football and move it to a Friday night. Most people don’t mind the hassle of a late night at the end of the working week, rather than at the start of one.

We played (and beat) Chelsea on a Friday night ... Valentines ... which was also met with disapproval on here by some. Plus Championship games are frequently shown on Sky on Fridays.Sky should scrap Monday night football and move it to a Friday night. Please don’t cloud the debate with factsWe played (and beat) Chelsea on a Friday night ... Valentines ... which was also met with disapproval on here by some. Plus Championship games are frequently shown on Sky on Fridays.
I’ve managed to find someone who wanted my tickets, and can actually get to the game so at least my seats won’t be empty. No chance I’d be able to get there in time for KO after leaving work, going home, picking up the missus and then spending and hour and a half in the traffic as we have for the last couple of games. No chance it'll be that low. We have a drip drip effect with lowering crowds but no way that many people won't show up.
