This league is a big step up for us. Walton played well and kept the score low, I thought we put in more tackles second half. The Arsenal players were v good and I imagine they play in the champions league U21 league regular.

We are still developing our U21 side, hopefully games like tonight help them develop.

In order to develop there needs to be a modicum of talent there in the first place. You could see that Arsenals players were considerably more talented, quicker both of mind and feet and with or without the ball, and far better organised than we were. Really makes you wonder whats going on. At last the U 18s seem to be making some progress.

If we go down, I take it we won't be able to sustain the cost of a category A academy so it will be back to facing the likes of palace for our youth teams.

I'd be amazed if TB didn't ensure that the academy remains as Cat 1 given the money that's been spent on building it. It's the future of the club.
